Washington (CNN) - Dabbing at this eyes with a handkerchief, former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. pleaded guilty on Wednesday in federal court to one charge related to using campaign funds for personal expenses.
"Guilty, your honor," Jackson responded to U.S. District Judge Robert Wilkins after looking back at family members in the courtroom, including his father, civil rights activist Jesse Jackson.

All Democratic politicians from Illinois should resign immediately and report to the nearest federal prison tomorrow morning. They are all going to end in prison anyway so why night save us the time and money from having to put them on trial?
Where's the outrage from the liberal donors? Don't you mind that your contributions were spent for his own personal reasons? While this practice isn't limited to just one party, Democrats do seem to have cornered the market on it lately.
Ed, Democrats have been more in the light on this issue, but it goes on, and on and on.
I haven't seen a politician yet, from ANY state, that is without blemish...perhaps we need to overhaul the whole two-party system with a viable 3-party system...oh, yeah, term limits would help, too.

True. And I should think that name recognition has a lot to do with how this story is being highlighted. If JJ Sr were not so high-profile, I think the media wouldn't be nearly as prevalent.

how easy was that???
Due to his mental illness I'll give him a pass on his actions. He still has to pay for what he's done and that's fine with me. I just hope he gets the help he really needs the rest of his life. I've seen what mental illness can do to a love one and hits hard to watch and it's even harder for them to stay on track.

Faux outrage is a cornerstone of today's conservatism. So why don't you get outraged for the Democrats, then? It'll be good for your blood pressure. Meanwhile, life goes on. The man has plead guilty, and will pay restitutions. It's no big dieal. I'd feel sorry for their kids, instead of crying over spilled milk.
How many hours of community service ????
