(CNN) - House Speaker John Boehner said after meeting Friday with President Barack Obama that the House will take up a measure next week to authorize federal funding beyond a March 27 deadline to prevent a potential partial government shutdown.
Again Speaker Boehner will have to depend on the Democrats for the necessary votes to pass any legislation. He can't depend on Tea Partiers in his caucus.
What meaningful legislation has the House passed since the "Sandy" relief bills. Remember, they had split it up into two separate bills and had to argue each one of them out. That consumed their attention up to Inauguration, after which they immediately went on vacation, only to return just this week. What legislation has the House passed this week?

How long will that take? I wonder if there is going to be some massive problem like them cutting funding for social programs.

This should be rich (pun intended). Always enjoyable watching the GOP/Teatrolls pass ymbolic ideologically stilted nonsense legislation that they know is a non-starter just to appease and further radicalize their base. Please proceed, GOPers/Teatrolls....I'm sure this will fix all your electoral and demographic problems when we all see just how wonderous your proposals for the budget are and it convinces everyone in the nation to change their minds and once-again fall into lock step with your suplpy-side idiocy.

Guaranteed: They force somethign thru the House with almost no Dem votes and it attempts to dismantle Medicare, Medicaid, SS, unemployment insurance and/or the rest of the societal safety net, but does nothing about corporate welfare and subsidies and massive tax loopholes for the wealthy. They then run pretending to be shocked that Obama, the Dems and the majority of the country all agree that it's a non-starter.

It is both entertaining and scary to watch the book "Atlas Shrugged," being brought to life by this administration.

Obama's strategic objective is the evisceration of what's left of the Republican Party in order that his Socialist Democratic Party can control the Executive and Legislative branches, and most of the Judicial branch, effectively rendering the checks and balances null and void.
