(CNN) - Although federal law places limits on the amount an individual can donate to political campaigns and groups, there are the bundlers: "volunteer fundraisers," as President Barack Obama's campaign calls them, who pull together individual donations to form the huge sums campaigns need.
The Obama campaign has voluntarily disclosed their bundlers, and new details out Saturday show some of their biggest volunteer fundraisers are big stars.

The list identifies almost 250 bundlers who raised more than $500,000 for Obama's re-election effort in the fourth quarter of 2012, a period including the weeks before Election Day. The list puts bundlers into several tiers starting with those who raised more than $50,000 and ending with the $500,000-plus bracket. But it does not specify how much an individual contributed.
Overall, Obama's re-election effort raised more than $1 billion.
Some of the most recognizable names topping the list are actress Eva Longoria, film mogul Tyler Perry, actor Will Smith, actress Jada Pinkett-Smith, singer Gwen Stefani and producer Harvey Weinstein.
At least two - magazine editor Anna Wintour and Penny Pritzker, a business owner and hotel heiress - are understood to be on Obama's short list for spots in his administration.
Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley and Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe make the list, too. Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy and Newark, New Jersey, Mayor Cory Booker are each in the $200,000 to $500,000 range.
Among those rounding out the bundlers are CEOs, lawyers, members of the entertainment industry and Democratic fundraisers. Several hosted fundraisers for Obama's campaign.
Also on the list: Jon Corzine, the former New Jersey governor and senator who was CEO of the now-bankrupt MF Global where investigators say more than $1 billion in customer funds are missing.

Obama will do just like the rest of us and answer for his actions on judgement day! God loves all of us equally always has always will that is the one thing that you can count on!
Obama's legacy will consist of his bad economy and his "buck stops over there" style.
What difference does it make how much money the Democrats, Liberals, and Progressives gave to elect Obama. The same demographics folks that voted for Obama will vote for Ms Clinton. Besides it will be history in the making the first women. Obama will support her 100% he owes Mr. Clinton big time. The liberals are on a roll and I doubt that the conservatives can get a candidate to defeat Ms. Hillary Clinton.
This campaign funding problem that overwhelms American politics is precisely the reason our polititians have such a perverse mindset: they are each and every one of them purchased by the special interest groups that brought in the dough that moved the party machinery that nominated them, and that then paid the ad campaigns to woo people to vote for them. How can we expect our polititians to give two hoots about what has to be done, or whats right, or what we want, when we have tolerated a system that places them on the bidding block?
Obama has God on his side
I see that one of Obama’s top donors was Harvey Weinstein, who was also the producer of this year Academy awards. He is also the one who said he gave Michelle Obama an invitation to present the final award for Best Picture. Too much politicking mixed with the Academy awards this year. I will never trust their selections again.
