Sarah Palin is coming to town

(CNN) - Do you hear what I hear? Sarah Palin already has Christmas on her mind.

In the upcoming title, "A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas," the former Alaska governor argues the holiday has become too secular because of "the politically correct elite who have hijacked the season," according to a release from the book's publisher, HarperCollins.

Scheduled for a November release, her new book will be out in time for purchase by all holiday shoppers, naughty or nice.

Her book, the publisher states, will make the argument for a more traditional Christmas that emphasizes the Christian theme behind the holiday. Palin will highlight "the importance of preserving Jesus Christ in Christmas," whether that's in public displays, school concerts or pageants. The book will also include personal memories and traditions from the most wonderful time of the year.

The 2008 vice presidential nominee has been known to defend her stance on Christmas in the past. In 2011, Palin blasted President Obama's Christmas card as "odd" on Fox News because it featured the family's dog, Bo, sitting by a fire, rather than prominently displaying values of "family, faith and freedom."

In a statement, Palin said her new book will be a "fun, festive, thought provoking" piece that will encourage readers to "unite in defense of our faith and ignore the politically correct Scrooges who would rather take Christ out of Christmas."

The book follows her two other books, "Going Rogue" (2009) and "America by Heart" (2010).

Wow, what a true fake conservative. She wants government to put Christ back into Christmas. What happened to smaller, less intrusive government. Letting the individual decide for himself, not government. Here, this false conservative is asking government to legislate. True conservatives want government to de-legislate. Welcome to the era of the fake FOX conservatives

I'm going to start practicing saying "Happy Holidays" right now so I'll have it down by December.

Thought provoking, indeed. Will anyone ever understand the historical fluke that made Palin a national candidate, or how she has managed to spin that into profit from speeches and books? Oh well. God bless America. Support our troops. And Merry Christmas.

Isn't NASA looking for a couple (in this case a couple of idiots) to travel to Mars. It will take two years and we will NEVER have to hear or see or endure any more irrelevant stories about this imbecile and that traitor eunuch husband of hers.
If we are lucky they will lose all contact wth the capsule as soon as it's launched. We can only hope and pray!

So how does it fit this bogus phiosphy when this fraudulant opportunist accepts money from vulnerable Americans for her so called presidential campaign. SP should be thrown in jail, toss the key.

CNN – Palin is a has-been. Can you not jump at the very hint of this person? The McCain/Palin ticket lost. McCain seems able to keep himself in the news (though can't say its always positive); but at least he's a active member of this Congress. Palin writes a book. Palin says this/that or the other thing. Tired of Palin. The Clinton Presidency was perhaps the last really good administration for this country and theys were called trailer trash. Good grief, there are still those who want to pretend that under President Clinton, the country was in shambles when Bush came in. When there's even a split up between Palin and Fox – you've got to let her go. Nothing she does adds value to this country or the dialogue. She's a divisive and shrill woman who needs to go home and leave us alone. CNN – YOU NEED TO QUIT HOISTING HER ON TO THE COUNTRY. IF YOU'RE THAT IN LOVE WITH HER, PUT ON HER TV. I don't get my news from TV, and you're not the only site I go to for information. You're just forcing her out there for people to have to endure and shudder at when her 15 minutes happened to have ended years ago.

Maybe someone should explain to her how Christmas was originally 'hijacked' from the pagans to begin with. Hypocrisy much?

Oh good. Another book by Sarah. It's good that she's writing, since it helps with her spelling. You know, those hard words like "refudiate".

Why is she still relevant enough to be on CNN's website? What a terrible book idea. Why do so many Christians, being a huge majority in the United States, think they're such an oppressed group? The secularization of Christmas is nothing short of a *miracle*.

"There has been a concerted effort to remove the religious aspect of Christmas for several years. It's just a fact. It's really sad that the liberal mindset that suposedly celebrates all matters of "diversity" chooses to try and get rid of Christian traditions just because they are seen as old-fashioned or unpopular. The liberals have (successfully) made speaking positively of Christianity a politically incorrect/intolerant/insensitive act."
The only concerted effort is from the RW – and that is to feign religious persecution as a way to rationalize their intolerance of other faiths.

I have never IN MY LIFE have felt that anyone was trying to infterfere with my choice to celebrate the Christmas holidays. This is just a Fox "News" boogeyman that is trotted out every year to give the RW their dose of outrage for the month of December (there is apparently an "Outrage of the Month" calendar). They find one obscure town somewhere in middle America that changes their greeting to 'Happy Holidays ' and they b!!!!tch and moan that its all a conspiracy against their beliefs. It would be laughable if it wasn't so sad.

I was brought up to respect others beliefs and customs as I would expect them to respect my own. These folks simply have no manners and then wonder why no one wants to be associated with them? Go figure...

We need an entire book to remind people to say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holiday? They should have called the book, my fans are so gullible they will buy anything with my name on it and keep me from having to get a real job.

I just don't understand what relevance this woman has to anything political.. She didn't even finish out her governorship in Alaska..She has no other credentials to qualify her for any kind of public office..
    She has nothing..
She is a reality show star.. Thats basically all she has to offer..
Why does she keep coming out of the wood work.. ?

'Serious Malak – There has been a concerted effort to remove the religious aspect of Christmas for several years. It's just a fact'

No there hasnt. There has however been an effort for people to try to be more inclusive and recognise that there are numerous holidays at the same time and its better at that time of year to show 'goodwill to all men, and peace on earth' by being inclusive rather than exclusive.

How about we put the Pagan celebration of the Winter Solstice back into Christmas and put the birth of Christ back into summer when some historians say the figure whom they believe Christ was patterned after was ACTUALLY born?

Her 15 minutes were up years ago. Looks like she will try anything to stay in the "spotlight", including making a fool of herself...but you already knew that. Seriously though. did you know she can see the North Pole from her house?

She thinks it is a nice opportunity into make a few bucks. Palin does not consider that the merchants, stores, other businesses, turned the religious holiday into a commercially saturated event long ago. All us "PC people" want to do is try not to exclude those of other faiths at that time of year. That is why when I am in a situation where I am not sure of the leanings of the other person I say both Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. When I am in Church, of course, I only say Merry Christmas. It is Christian to be aware of other people's feelings, Sarah.

I believe if you follow the calendar, the wonderfully Christian and unmarried Bristol Palin got pregnant over the Christmas holidays a few years ago. Yes, the most wonderful time of the year for hypocrites!

No one can show us that Jesus wanted to be worshiped: however, you can find where Satan wanted Jesus to worship him. Jesus pointed to the Father not to self and people have followed pagan and religious rituals for self gratification not for self less reasons. I wonder if her book will be on sale in Churches. The 25th of Dember is 3 days after the first day of winter and has more pagan association than to the known Birth of Jesus. The point is that the people writing, or buying such books are those who should not be elected to any political office...Period!
