Photo: Israel prepares for Obama visit
(CNN) - In Jerusalem, signs welcoming President Barack Obama are already up. The president departs Washington Tuesday evening for his trip to the Middle East, which will also include stops in the West Bank and Jordan.

I have no doubt that Pres. Obama did not visit Israel during his first term because he was simply not extended an invitation from Netanyahu. It was pretty obvious who Netanyahu favored to lose in 2012, Pres. Obama.
It really wouldn't look good on Israel if Netanyahu allowed Pres. Obama's 2nd term to pass without a visit. It wouldn't look good for Pres. Obama to have never visited, either, regardless of the reason How much do you want to bet that Israel wants a signinficant increase in their US foreign aid.

I didn't know golf was that big a deal in the middle east.
Could you imagine the kind of reception Romney would have gotten?
why isn't going to libya instead? he still hasn't tracked down the people that killed our ambassador and is hiding all of the survivors so they won't talk about what happened. biggest coverup of incompetence in our country's history. and the press helps him get away with it.
Do not sell USA to Israel because GOP sold to Saudi oil already. Let them deal with Palestine.

Probably Mr. Obama isn't going to Libya for the same reason Mr. Reagan didn't go to Lebanon. Except of course, Reagan's reason was much greater.
