Could the Red River Valley soon run blue?

(CNN) - The year was 1976. Apple was new on the computing scene. The supersonic Concorde plane had just taken to the skies for the first time. And the Seattle Seahawks suited up for their first football game.

It was also the last time Texans voted to put a Democrat in the White House.

The only thing keeping Texas "red" is gerrymandering and a large population of fearful, ignorant, bigoted, Bible-thumpin' red-necks. The shift in demographics and the intolerant behavior of the Republicans will drive the state into the"blue" within five years.

If Texas keeps electing nut jobs like Ted Cruz, Louie Gohmert and Rick Perry , it will go blue .

It is what you call a sure thing. Feelings are running hard, against the tea party here in Texas and their embarrassing hold on the GOP. Gov. Rick Perry, should be humiliated. A Republican, State Sen. stalled the medicaid fiasco, recently, because he claimed the morning after pill was an abortion pill, there fore, not allowable, in family planning. The Morning After pill, prevents hundreds of thousands of abortions, every year !!! These legislators are elected under the impression, that, they have at least, a middle school education. Apparently not. These tea party Clowns, are clearly not serious about ending abortion.
