Good thing this appointment does not require Senate approval, otherwise some Republican obstructionist like Sen Paul would mount a filibuster.
will she have to be confirm by the senate, if the answer is yes then she will be oppose by senator graham and mccain
I smell a filibuster...........
Good job Mr. President, as usual.
merit based??? highly doubful. pandering? highly likely.
It's his neck, being protected, so he can have who he wants.
It probably time, especially given some of the mess the secret service has been caught doing lately. Maybe a different kind of leadership is needed.
That's change you can believe in!
Wake up People!
I smell a filibuster...........

Repubs are going to get their panties in a bunch over this one
Dont think Miss Lindsay Priss has any room to argue against a female. Neither does sour old mysogynist McCain.

Merit based? Never in Rightie world: only the rich deserve anything, according to their wierd logic. Campaign donor payoff? Highly likely in their world. Of course, with how dysfunctional the GOP is, we'll never see that in our lifetime.
