(CNN) – It was billed as a "special message" from President Barack Obama.
But the president who walked out to the podium barely reached the microphones.
The White House's April Fools video turned out to be a dispatch from 9-year-old Robbie Novak, also known as the Kid President. The White House got people to tune in by tweeting, "This morning, the White House released a special video message from the President" with a link to the page.
After stepping to the mikes with "Hail to the Chief" playing, the Kid President says, "You look like were expecting somebody else. April Fools on all y'all."
"I'm the kid president, and I hope everyone has an awesome day," he says, adding: "It's everyone's dream to give the world a reason to dance."
Novak's videos went viral earlier this year – they've been viewed millions of times on YouTube. He told CNN's "Starting Point" in January his goal is to inspire people to make "the world awesome" and to "be a party."
He'll also be a guest at Monday's White House Easter Egg Roll.
Thank you Mr. President!
hahaha cute.
Humm,
Not sure what Obama's Special message is. His Regular message, just like clockwork is straight out of Vaudville. WITH YOUR MONEY AND MY BRAINS, WE WILL GO PLACES. Oh, wait, that is his special message too. And it is no April Fools Joke. BUT he hopes you will buy it.
Barry's message is what the CIA.....cough...teleprompter tells him.
An empty podium at a press conference. What an absolutely perfect symbol for this president.
President Obama: The least number of press conferences in the last 20 years. Accountability = F. Transparency = F. However, he wins for most appearances on non-news talk shows. Therefore, Cheap Theatrics = A+. Way to dumb down the presidency, Obama.
The WH is never serious.
Unfortunately, the Obama administration has been over 4 years worth of April Fool's Day on our country. And there is no end in sight.
Dont matter if it's Bush, or Obama, our last two president's have been one big April fools joke. America,we going down. Slowly but surely.
Wooo! It's little chilly out there. Is it really that bad? All you people complaining about the President. Still have jobs, cars, 401k's and a whole host of other things to be gratefull for. I personally like to have humor in the Oval office. In the last 20 years we've had sex scandals, 911, unnessary wars and a economic collaps. Things are looking up. Give the guy a break! Least he's not on vaction all the time like the last President.
Some of you are just down right mean, nasty and bitter. The absolute disrespect you show for the office of the President disgusts me! Shame on you! You all make my heart hurt for American society.
@AZ girl – Ditto!!!
