Obama to attend Bush library opening
(CNN) – President Barack Obama will be on hand for the opening of former President George W. Bush’s library later this month, one of the few times the two have united in person since Bush left office four years ago.
“President Obama and the First Lady look forward to participating in the formal opening of a library that will be dedicated to a President who led our country in difficult times at home and abroad,” said White House Deputy Press Secretary Josh Earnest Wednesday. “It’s difficult to fully comprehend what it’s like to serve as President of the United States unless you’ve done it – and President Obama has developed a good relationship with both President George W. Bush and President George H.W. Bush.”
The library, a sprawling facility on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, is slated to open April 25 after more than two years of construction. In addition to Obama, all the living former presidents will attend, according to spokespersons for each president.
Obama and Bush last united a year ago when the former president’s official portrait was unveiled at the White House. The two did not exactly appear close, and in his re-election campaign the president continued to lay blame on Bush for the tepid economic recovery.
Still, Earnest said Obama “has routinely expressed his deep appreciation for the 43rd President’s commitment to this country we love, and is looking forward to returning to Texas later this month.”
According to its website, the library will include a full size Oval Office, its own rose garden, and iconic items of the Bush presidency including the bullhorn the president used to address first responders in New York days after 9/11.

I hope his library stocks My Pet Goat and other children's books. I'm pretty sure that's all Dubya has ever read.
Bush wasnt such a bad president , he singlehanded destroyed the GOP .
It figures. Obama has become a "talking" president as opposed to an "action" president so he'll go anywhere to give a meaningless speech, get a sound bite and a photo-op.

Bush exemplifies the incompetence of the current GOP and what they stand for.

All this does is hurt the average law biding gun owner who just wants to protect himself or herself and their property. Focus on the criminals and quit using the revolving door in our courts. Less plea bargains and more prisons I say. Frankly, I'm surprised fire officials haven't figured out a way to cut down all the trees to prevent forest fires. Seems like in this country we spend more time fixing something that has nothing to do with the real issue.
