No safety measure is 100% effective. Gun safety laws will be no different – but it's completely dishonest to pretend they will have no imact on the number of unstable people denied gun ownership. The N.R.A. leverages three incorrect premises – 1. The 2nd Amendment allows ownership of any sort of weapon. 2. The 2nd Amendment provides individuals the right to take up arms against our federal government. 3. Increasing the number of guns in the society will decrease the levels of gun violence. If those three premises were correct Somalia would be a safe and stable place to live.
All the government had to do was enforce current laws however that never happened.
Nope. That is the why the whole issue of gun control was the wrong solution, to start with.
The solution is to take positive steps to get the mentally ill, off of the public streets.
OK, I'm just gonna be blunt & probably wont be posted but here's what I see! Of course those screens will home in on any1 on any type of psychotropic meds! There is a large population on all sorts of psyciatric meds, who also own guns! That's why people are resisting the psych angle! Even as they shout about "crazies"! Other than ourselves, it would seem!!
It's a shame Reagan closed the mental hospitals and put them on the streets.
