(CNN) - President Barack Obama will deliver a statement at 11:30 a.m. ET, the White House said Tuesday.

    why is obama on tv so much about this stuff and everything else like it??? don't we have other people like news reporters, and others doing the investigation giving regular briefings??? is he auditioning for reporter in chief?

    He's on TV providing Presidential and Gov. support for the poor folks these tragedies happen to because that's what a President does. If he said nothing, there would be outcry that he doesn't care. Kinda like how people felt when Bush flew over New Orleans. Let's don't act like he's doing something wrong to be on the air just because some people never want to see him at all...

    Dear just askin': pretend u work for a company that just had a big fire, the bldg. Is damaged & some of ur co-workers are hurt & u don't know whether u still have a job ...wouldn't u want ur boss giving u updates as to the status of ur company & ur job rather than some reporter? Poor Prez- damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
