(CNN) - The U.S. Senate on Wednesday defeated a proposed ban on semi-automatic guns modeled after military assault weapons, dealing another blow to the package of tougher firearms laws sought by President Barack Obama in the aftermath of the Newtown school massacre.

Feinstein's amendment suffered the worst defeat of all the amendments considered today ... she only got 39 other Democrats to vote with her.

Maybe she should just vote the way the majority of her constituency wants and not the way she wants.

... or maybe it is time for her to retire. It was sad to see her doddering around the Senate floor looking very, very out of it.

The next school shooting will cause politicians to grap photo-ops with the victim's families, make pompus and patriotic statements for the press, and pledge to "study" the problem so a solution can be found in the future. The solution has already been presented to the American people today. Vote out those Senators who threw the wishes of 90% of America's citizens into the toilet – choosing instead to keep their N.R.A. Report Card competitive. Gutless cowards. Why should they care? Their kids go to private schools with high-dollar security.

We have one tremendously screwed up Senate. We have a bunch of jellyfish Senators motivated by the lies, greed and money of the NRA easily one of the most un-American lobbies in America. I pray to God that none of these Senators have their grandkids gunned down by some crazed maniac with an assault weapon. Their pain might be too hard to bare. The only solution, and I do mean the only one, is to vote out these Republican Senators that have been in the Senate most of their adult lives and who represent the least educated and least informed segment of American society.

PLEASE CNN begin publishing those Senators who voted against these amendments immediately and do not stop until each of their present terms are up for re-election. If the American People ever needed you, we need you now. regardless of what their reasons were, please publish their reasons, and a single sheet list of their names and hopefully that list will then go viral and regardless of how their vote was threatened by the NRA as being 'scored', that when it comes time for their re-election, the official 'score' card is submitted by the American Public on them. PLEASE OH GOD IN HEAVEN FOR THE SAKE OF ALL THE CHILDREN WHO HAVE DIED AND ARE YET TO BE BOURNE..and thank you

Feinstein, you need to go crawl back under your rock, or worry about where you are going to get all the money you Democrats cost this nation with your failed economic recovery and health care fiasco (which needs $700 Billion more dollars). You are a disgrace.,
