Gosnell horror fuels fight for abortion laws
(CNN) - The depraved acts Dr. Kermit Gosnell is convicted of have sparked a new turn in the nationwide battle over abortion laws.
Groups that oppose legal abortion are using the horror surrounding his clinic, which garnered fresh attention during his murder trial, to push for new state and federal restrictions - even though Gosnell's acts were already illegal.

Huh...so how many guys doing what this guy has done have we caught sine Roe v. Wade? This is the exception to the rule, not the rule. The anti-choice activists and MSM will blow it up and give it such spotlight prominence that it will loom large in peoples' minds...after all, outrage and controversy sell advertising...but Gosnell in no way represents what takes place 99.99999% of the time. The numbers don't lie.

Or like when republicans sought like mad for examples of voting fraud and could not find enough in PA to move forward with their laws? Or Gov. of Florida that went to purge the names of "illegal voters" and had to stop because even republicans couldn't vouch for the validity of the purge? I don't remember anyone, including myself, ever arguing that there are no people out there who violate laws and are willing to commit heinous acts...be it in the form of this guy's crimes or any others. time to follow the Germans and the Dutch with this. Free health care to all babies, free food to all babies, free education to all babies. Why should the babies suffer the consequenses of their failed parents? Take away financial pressures and you remove the main motivation for abortion...at least among the poor. Now the upper class daughters of Baptist preachers will always need to get abortions , but that has little to do with survival and everything to do with hypocrisy.

Dr. Tiller performed late-term abortions, which were legal at that time and place. There was never any evidence that her was doing the kind of behavior that Gosnell was performing. And lest we forget, Tiller was murdered by a Good Christian Citizen.
How many have there been? Pretty hard to tell when nobody is inspecting or regulating these murder mills. How convenient is THAT?! Pennsylvania hadn't inspected this place in 17 YEARS. And he would still be murdering babies AND WOMEN if he hadn't gotten greedy and started over prescribing drugs. THAT is what exposed this serial murderer.
The photos and evidence are reminiscent of Nazi Germany medical experimentation on human beings. I would strongly advise every adult that support abortion to view them to find out exactly what you are advocating. I can tell you one thing it is NOT. It is not "women's healthcare"!!
One of the sad realities of abortion is that women who are impoverished or involved in abusive relationships with either their family or their man can see no other way out. They're scared to death because of the stigma and shame that some people put on unwed parents. When women seek a late term abortion, it's usually because she cannot afford the cost of birth control to prevent an unwanted pregnancy in the first place or the cost of a safer abortion earlier in the pregnancy. There could be a horrible deformity in her fetus, or if she gives birth it could endanger her own life. I fully support that doctors who prey on poor women be held accountable for unsafe clinics, but I sincerely hope that fanatics don't use this doctor as a model to ban all abortion providers that do care about safety and confidentiality because it could endanger women's lives. Especially if her pregnancy is the result of a rape.

You just made that up. Name one person, Democrat or otherwise, that has ever claimed that there were no doctors unethical enough to perform illegal abortions. These doctors always have and always will exist.
However, there were many more of these doctors before Roe v. Wade.
He committed a crime and was convicted. Just because he did it doesn't make all abortion providers evil. If one does it, then all do it logic fails because the one dentist who accidently infected people means that all are going to do that?
