Obama struggles with rocky start to second term

Washington (CNN) - Secretly accessing phone records of journalists. IRS targeting of conservative groups. Misleading statements last year about the Benghazi terrorist attack.

News headlines of the past week portray an administration engulfed in potential scandal, providing opponents of President Barack Obama with plenty of ammunition to try to derail his agenda in the early months of his second term.

nothing has really changed. obama and his lackeys have been screwing up for over 4 years. it is just now that the lsm is actually reporting on it and questioning it instead of playing the obama cheerleader like they have for 4.5 years. i guess they didn't like being lied to about benghazi and now invaded by the justice dept. hey... you reap what you sow!

He will be fine. The GOP just can't let anything happen without trying to crucify him.

DJIA pushing 16,000, hundreds of thousands of jobs every month ... Yeah. Reeeal rocky.

I grant that he's fending off scandals that are either partisan fantasies (Benghazi) or have nothing to do with him personally (IRS). But by all means, Media, paint our reality with bright, exciting colors. Throw a unicorn in there while you're at it.

When the GOP has a secret meeting the night of your inauguration, making plans to make you a one term POTUS. What do you expect? Then the heads of the GOP, Rush and Rove, assure your opponent that he will be the next POTUS, but said plan backfires, you can expect this.

The good thing is many people see it for what it is. BS.

His "rocky start" is due to the rocks-their-heads GOP. Whatever happened to "jobs, jobs, jobs"? As far as I can tell, the GOP has lost interest in getting America back to work.

They should concentrate on fixing so many problems that our country faces rather than spending tax dollars on outrageous assumptions.

GOP took a good care of it. They are making Obama's second term as rocky as possible together with our country's progress in recovering from the Republican inflicted recession.

IF ONLY THE President's "opponents" had worked as hard at fixing the economy and creationg jobs as they have at trying to find dirt to throw at the President.

Put simply in the common man's language, evil has overtaken, or should we say overturned, American Democracy. The greatest danger to US political system is the ability of the people to negatively manipulate the system by misinterpreting the constitution, manipulating the media to adversities & dividing the people through polarised political divides. Political Opponents, in their selfish desires for success now create every discernable obstacle against their foes, deliberately manipulating both the media & supports to their antics....without moralty, linking even artificially created problems to the Presidency. The American Constitution is a brief document that allows for diverse interpretation of its provisions......But the baseline links decisions to the benefits of the people( most times, majority). Times are creating a system where money has been used to subvert this constitutional demand. The President is not only to avoid every conceivable errors but has to overcome every obstacle created deliberately by the opponents. This is an expectation for the gods......the earlier America designs checks for this trend the better.......Nobody can be 100% right.

His agenda stinks so let's derail it. His administration has not looked at what the people want passing backroom deals in the middle of the nigh.

They're still trying to get rid of him. Go ahead and put a republican in there -- we will yell IMPEACH from day one and force our representatives to yell NO every time he opens his mouth. Turn about is fair play.

hey i always say that it was a matter of time that the overwhelming opposition to this president will raise its ugly head. this president is for the people, and if your for the common man, you are against big corporations, dems have to deal with fox news; the biggest cable news network in the US, all the corporate news stations like cnbc, and fox business news, i am not even going to mention the league of right winged radio stations that outnumber the dems 20 to 1. all the dems has is msnbc. the main media is not partisan, they are down the middle or even right winged sometimes when fox and her cohort pressures them by calling them lame stream media anytime they mention this president in a good light. i am surprised this president is doing as well as he is doing.
