Holder criticizes longtime foe Issa at committee hearing

Washington (CNN) - Political fireworks over a little-noticed Supreme Court appeal and a separate whistleblower lawsuit had U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and a longtime congressional adversary exchanging harsh words at a House committee hearing Wednesday.

Holder, testifying before the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee, sparred with GOP Rep. Darrell Issa of California over congressional requests for private e-mails of top Holder aide Thomas Perez, who is President Barack Obama's nominee to be Labor Secretary.

"Issa suggested Holder had political motives for delaying release of the electronic messages. The two repeatedly talked over each other, and Holder concluded the exchange with a personal attack."

ISSA STARTED THE EXCHANGE WITH A PERSONAL ATTACK. Is Holder supposed to be a good "boy" and let this arrogant d-bag talk down to him and impugn his motives and character as a means of pressuring him into making someone divulge PERSONAL emails to a hit squad? Is that what you think? Is that why you're carrying Issa's water here with characterizations like that?

PERSONAL emails? So again, it comes down to: "Darn, this evidence we requested didn't prove what we claimed it would prove. Time to go fishing. Someone, quick, invent a reason we need to pry into this person's private life or something."

this perez guy used his personal email to conduct and conceal government business he was involved in. that is against the law. perez is just another in the long list of lawless rogues in the obama adminstration. to these criminals, the ends always justifies the means.

Yeah right. The corrupt DOJ head criticizes the decent Congressman, trying to get to the bottom of Holder's corruption.

This is absolutely the most corrupt administration, in modern history, if not all of history.

its about time someone put this partisan hack in his place, where was he during the bush debacle. these so called warmongers and country defenders, always make their politics get in their way, they always say that republicans are the better defender of this nation, and the dems were a security risk when in charge. they hate that a dem president and attorney general are protecting this country,.now they are out in the cold. because their mantra of keeping this country safe has just went to the dems, they dont have a clue on how to run the economy, because their trickle down policies just does not work, so they have nothing left.

The only time we get work out of the GOP is when there is a hearing or a Sunday morning talk show.

Republicans know no shame! (please print this statement, I know CNN is going conservative, but be fair) Here, Issa is going after Holder like, he should have went after those who cost 3000 American lives and over 50, 000 wounded and maimed, due to a War based on lies! Now, Bonehead Boehner wants to know who is going to Jail? More Repuglican hypocrisy!
