White House reaching out to Democratic strategists
(CNN) - Top Democratic strategists have been invited to the White House for a meeting Thursday morning with Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, according to a source familiar with the meeting.
The source presumes that the meeting is an effort to discuss ideas for damage control, as the White House faces an onslaught of questions regarding its handling of the Benghazi attack, the Internal Revenue Service scandal and the Justice Department's seizure of Associated Press phone records.

"The source" is some janitor that CNN got to say what they wanted to hear in exchange for a couple Benjamins. Yawn.

A good Attorney General could get the whole corrupt barrel of rotten fish in one location and save the taxpayers a lot of money, but then the only attorney general we have will be with the group figuring out how to lie and deceive about the problems they will be discussing.
obama needs to reach out to the truth and stop the lieing. he needs to stop believing his own lies. nobody believes a word he says any more. not a shred of credibility left.
The biggest tactical screw up the Obama Administration made was blatantly lying to the White House press corps on the Benghazi talking points. Even those hacks have some scruples....somewhere. Obama can not function without a fawning news media running cover for him. These journalists have figured out that they have hosed. And they also have figured out there is a lot more for them to gain by exposing the many warts of the Obama Administration rather than acting as Obama's cheerleaders. I remember the White House press cops after they finally got on the Watergate bandwagon...they made Nixon's life a living hell and were instrumental in his eventual resignation.
There can be no damage control for this corrupt administration running amok.

Yes, random, anonymous, unidentified, unvetted "source," whose credibility nobody has any reason to believe is at all noteworthy, PRESUMES something, so it's immediately 'news." Next up: CNN asks a panel of empty chairs what they believe really happened in Benghazi.....
If Obama was caught red handed killing someone the liberals would take the ignorant path as usual.
But, Millhouse, they didn't "lie" about the talking points. Sure, they HAD talking points, some of which may or may not have been accurate. Inaccuracies were doubtless due to bad intel and, yes, a concerted effort to not reveal all they knew to the ENEMY. In fact, it has not been disproven that the YouTube video had something to do with the unrest on that day. What HAS been demonstrated is that statements attributed to White House emails were mischaracterized. See: Rhodes, White House, email.

More like they are going to ask these guys to help get the truth out rather than having the Republican lies and myths and twisted "facts" be the only talking points in the media. Would be nice if the media (including CNN) weren't so biased towards the GOP. But considering the generally low level of education of the CNN correspondents (albeit somewhat higher than FOX) it isn't too surprising.

They said "information is incomplete" "we don't have all the facts yet" "it currently appears....but this may change as the investigation is ongoing..." Of course your rightwad side is not capable of grasping anything resembling a subtlety or caution, you want ANSWERS NOW whether they are correct or not. It must be hard being so mentally challenged that you are ill-equipped to grasp nuance or even the idea of investigation and research. You poor, poor thing.
