We will regret the day we allowed the U.S. to become more like Mexico.

"The DOMA ruling could change this whole debate," Durbin said. "They could eliminate DOMA and impose obligations on our federal government (relating to) same gender marriage, and that would dramatically change what we're trying to achieve."
The only line in the article that has any meaning or relevance is "the house is working on its own plan"
ever heard the old saying united we stand divided we fall!? it has been the story of this Congress for the last 4 .5 years and more so since 2010.
Why do they have to do that. Why cant they look at the senate bill and propose amendments and have some Consensus meetings with the dems in the House, and avoid the very strong right wing demand of the tea partiers via getting dems on board. Debate that in the senate and you might have a bill The republican house plan is designed to get Republicans thru the 2014 elections by saying we had a good plan and dems rejected it vote for us and our bill.
Republicans objective is so pathetically transparent it is an insult to anyones intelligence.

The white house leaders came up with a immgration bill, good or bad the president was comming up with a immgration bill and it would pass without the white house leaders approvel. All immgrations people is bad theres good ones.
There is still a lot of things that can derail this bill. Specifically, the House. I'm just shocked that there is actually bipartisanship going on in Congress in regards to immigration reform.
