of course he will. i'm surprised he wasn't there already to distract people from his numerous scandals. if obama is good at one thing, it is never ever missing a good photo op.
Im glad that he waited a few days before paying a visit. The local authorities have enough on their hands already. During those first critical hours and days, they didn't need the extra burden of providing security for the POTUS in a chaotic environment.

Im glad that he waited a few days before paying a visit. The local authorities have enough on their hands already. During those first critical hours and days, they didn't need the extra burden of providing security for the POTUS in a chaotic environment.

He was expected to do more than take Air Force One out for sightseeing joy ride at taxpayer expense. At least he could have landed outside of the worst affected areas, like at a state capitol to meet with the governer or something. My guess is that no one wanted to give him landing permission because he would have been all up in the way.

george bush did the responsible thing. he surveyed the damage from the air in a multi-state area devastated by a large hurricane without causing a major distraction on the ground and using resources that were needed for disaster recovery efforts. he wasn't looking for photo ops with governors that had their hands full.

I knew that this President was extremely concerned regarding rhe welfare of the citizens of our country regardless of party affiliation. That was basically why I supported him. He is not perfect; ni human is. But he is striving, as we all are GID bless America!

1. Bush has admitted the Katrina flyover was a "huge mistake" that made him seem unconcerned and removed from the disaster and the peoples' suffering.
2. The levees broke on Monday. He was photographed on Tuesday golfing and then playing guitar with some country singers. The flyover was 35 minutes long and occurred on WEDNESDAY...two days after NO died. Moreover, your characterization of the flyover as somehow constituting aerial reconnaissance is just plain BS.
