Christie meets Snooki
(CNN) - Gov. Chris Christie and Snooki don't share much in common, but there couldn't have been a more appropriate place for the two to meet: the Jersey Shore.
Their awkward introduction came Friday in Seaside Heights, where the two were on hand for the reopening of the boardwalk in time for the Memorial Day weekend tourist influx, about seven months after Superstorm Sandy battered the region.

And it was captured on camera by the Asbury Park Press.
"Just wanted to meet you and just hope you start to like us," Snooki said, shaking the governor's hand.
"I appreciate it," Christie replied. "We'll do our best."
Christie had never taken a liking to the MTV show, which followed Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and seven companions on their various exploits. The show ended but has resulted in spinoffs, including one starring Snooki.
The governor has called the show "unrealistic" and "negative for New Jersey," and in 2011, cut tax credits for the production company behind the show saying it would be wrong for the state to fund a program that "does nothing more than perpetuate misconceptions about the state and its citizens."
In this episode, the video shows Snooki getting the final word.
With Christie off screen, she says to the camera, "He just doesn't like us, that's it."

In the midst of this nonstory, a small nugget about "big government tyranny" emerges: Christie cut the tax credit for Snooky's show.
How do feel about that, conservatives? Oh that's right you don't like him anyway 'coz he was nice to Obama once. Never mind.
What's to like?
Jersey Shore is still a stupid show.

Totally unacceptable behavior in a US president.
God, if there was ever a match made in heaven.
For most of us that grew up on the shore, we didn't like these people. They didn't respect us or our beaches.
Why Christi, why? Why would you ever come within a mile of that... thing?
