Obama's cuddle bear from N.J. (no, not Christie)

(CNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie won a prize for President Barack Obama Tuesday during a game on the boardwalk: a teddy bear.

The sweet gesture was another sign of the Republican governor’s dismissive attitude toward critics on the right who say he's too close with the president.

While in town to survey the state's recovery efforts after Superstore Sandy badly damaged the New Jersey shoreline last year, Obama visited the Point Pleasant boardwalk with Christie and engaged in a "Touchdown Fever" football toss.

Obama missed all five of his throws into the tire, while Christie made it on his first attempt.

"One and done," the governor exclaimed.

Obama gave Christie a high-five and quipped: "That's because he's running for office."

The man behind the counter handed Obama a stuffed teddy bear with a Chicago themed shirt.
