New York (CNNMoney) - Should federal employees on furlough be allowed to collect unemployment benefits? Engineers at a Navy shipyard in Philadelphia think so.

That sounds fair and reasonable. Congress needs to fix the problem. Workers shouldn't have to suffer because of Congress' irresponsibility. If Congress can make special privilege for the FAA, I see know reason why furloughed workers can't collect unemployment. I'd like to hear republicans complain about this.
If they are civilian employees and are laid off then of course they should be able to collect unemployment.... why would this even be up for debate?
Fed workers have to good for their own good. They are over paid and under worked
Of course.
Totally negate what is trying to be accomplished.
gee thats a surprise ..union wants money for setting on there butts...oh yea unions doing whats best for there own no matter what...
I say if you want to cut cost start with congressional pay and benifits ,the gop obstructionidt should make minimum wage and no benifits for non performance losers.
The gop will be looking to collect unemployment when they get kicked out of congress in 2014 mid terms and beyond ,morons.
Cue Teatroll poutrage and resentment towards federal employees...yawn....
