Obama cracks down on patent trolls
New York (CNNMoney) - The Obama administration issued a stern rebuke of so-called "patent trolls" Tuesday, in an attempt to stop those whom the White House says manipulate the patent system for undue financial gain.
The White House directed the United States Patent and Trade Office to take five new actions that would help stem the rising tide of patent-related lawsuits tying up the court system. Many patent-holding companies with no intention of ever releasing products have made an entire business model out of suing other companies for patent infringement.

Good news for the economy!
Finally the "Stern Rebuke" that has been so long coming. Hey CNN, now you have another huge news story to cover instead of tracking stories on the muluiple Domocrat caused scandals.
Yes, right at the top of the list of important issues that the leader of the free world needs to address. Talk about getting desperate for things to change the topic of discussion away from all the scandals.
He needs to focus on more GENERIC MEDICINES too.
Once again, a subject that while important to a few, means nothing to most of us. The President, the Congress, and the Media should be focused on four thngs.... resolving the BUDGET there are three versions and no one is talking about them....Launching Inrastructure Projects...creating new JOBS....Passing the immigration bill, a subject LONG OVERDUE... and exposing the BIGGEST ripoff in America....pricing of health care. We get the last one undercontrol and all this deficit talk will lose it's significance.

You're extremely uninformed if you don't understand how this stifles innovation and thereby causes serious harm to economic growth.
