@HillaryClinton says future TBD

Update 12:21 p.m. ET on Tuesday 6/11: That didn't take long. Only 24 hours after unlocking her profile, Clinton has gained more than 300,000 followers on Twitter, and issued her inaugural tweet:

The names she cites are the founders of the popular "Texts from Hillary" blog, which went viral using the photo that now serves as Clinton's profile pic.

She also changed around the order of her former titles: US Senator and secretary of state are now listed before "hair icon" and "pantsuit aficionado" - which used to read "pantsuit fashionista."

Her family issued a set of welcoming responses:

She also got some friendly tweets Monday from multiple high-profile Tweeters, including President Barack Obama.

Original Post

(CNN) - The page is empty and tweets are blocked from public viewing, but Hillary Clinton's Twitter profile appears ready for its public debut.

The handle @HillaryClinton, which features the famous photo of the former secretary of state looking down at her Blackberry, has two followers: the verified accounts of Bill and Chelsea Clinton.

And the biography is revealing: "Mom, wife, lawyer, FLOAR, FLOTUS, women & kids advocate, author, dog owner, hair icon, pantsuit fashionista, U.S. Senator, ceiling cracker... SecState... TBD..."

Bill Clinton joined Twitter this year to great fanfare, originally being assigned the handle "@PrezBillyJeff" by comedian Stephen Colbert, but soon switched to @BillClinton. That was in April - he's now at more than 700,000 followers.

Will his wife follow suit? Stay tuned...

    "pantsuit fashionista"

And Senator Kirsten Gillibrand looks good in skirts as well as pants. 🙂

She's also a fantastic Senator. Food for thought, before y'all make your decision, 3 years ahead of time.

In case Hillary doesn't run, I'd like to see Sen. Klobuchar run. She'd be a real formidable candidate against anyone.

Hmm. What happened to "teenager with two big braids"? It begins with "Wife"? Does this mean she never grew up? Just kidding.

What's the point of this article? Slow news day. Report on the tug of war between Rep. Issa and Rep. Lewis over releasing transcripts of testimony given behind closed doors. Supposedly, someone admitted to giving the order to "target" conservative groups. But, the person is a registered Republican, apparently attempting to expedite right wing applications, which totally does not fit the conspiracy theory that Issa and others have been chanting.

    Just read the ad.
May I point out to whomever designed it that placing the word "cracker" on a separate line from "glass ceiling" was not the best PR idea that they've had.

Why do folks believe Hillary would be a good president in 2016 when that was not the case in 2008? ESPECIALLY this far out when NO ONE have announced anything?

Why should Hillary rush an announcement? Keep Republicans and Tea Partiers in the dark while they desperately play catch up.

Klobuchar would be another excellent option.

There are other fish in the sea besides Hillary Clinton. Why don't we wait to see how it all plays out first.

Klobuchar? She wouldn't make it out of Iowa. As a conservative, I'm hoping for Biden.

America NEEDS to be talking about JOBS, rebuilding our infrastructure; getting health care cost under control, getting large amounts of ammunition out of the hands of people with no control, why student loans with the government are about to go up to 4 to 7% interest. NOT wasting time on who may run for President beginning in the later part of 2014!!!

As someone who has come to lose all respect for the Republican Party, I'm hoping for another black guy, like Gov. Duval Patrick, which would only serve as additional catalyst for the right wing's self implosion..

BTW.......Klobachar might not be well known nationally, but every time I have seen her, she appears to be a very sharp lady........might make a good number 2 if not at the top of the ticket.

Right on Rudy! My reasons are a little different though: All of the things that have the mouthbreathers are up in arms are things that have been going on with the government forever, but they didn't utter a peep or they trashed us "libruls" who took issue with those things when a repub was in the WH. The minute a black guy gets elected they hate all they loved before. IMO, if we keep electing Aftican Americans to the highest office in the land the detractors won't be happy until the patriot act, homeland security, the war on drugs and a bunch of other toxic legislation enacted by the right will go the way of the dinosaur!

    Eh, Rudy NYC,
What is it you want the Republician Party to do for you that you can't do for yourself? The Nanny State is up and running as it has been for the last 80 plus years. Hillary is just an extention of the Nanny State and the glaring failure of the Liberal's as to the nearly 17 Trillion Dollar Federal debt, Still high unemployment, Food Stamps, etc. Republician's didn't give you that. It was the Liberal's as in the Housing Bubble. That what you want to continue? We all know Bill wants to get back in the White House so bad he can taste it. Do you want Slick Willie back in the White House?? He said, We could give you more of your money, but you wouldn't know how to spend it. That what you want Rudy?

Yes, she's like a VIRUS! A threat that just won't go away, and her minions only need some meaningless tripe like this to forget all the scandals, political opportunism, and indifferent incompetence as Sec. of State capped off by her "what difference does it make now" statement about the Americans working under her cabinet that were left to be murdered in Benghazi!

Hooray! Another cult-of-personality White House contender, who brings nothing to the table but more popularity.

Maybe we can continue to knock 0.1% off the unemployment figures for each of her two terms. Then we'll be in business.
