First on CNN: Stop Hillary effort launches

Washington (CNN) - Just as support starts piling up for a second Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, the opposition forces are marshaling their resources to keep up.

Pro-Republican Super PAC America Rising is launching a fundraising effort today as their answer to the growing tide of support for Clinton. The PAC has a brand new site, StopHillary2016.org, a one-stop shop for Clinton haters.

And they're blasting a series of e-mails to randomized groups of donors to solicit money for the cause.

One draws on the lessons learned by Mitt Romney's failed presidential campaign. The PAC's chairman, Matt Rhoades, had managed the Romney campaign in 2012. He writes in the new fundraising note, "President Obama started his reelection campaign on his first day in office. I saw firsthand how big of an advantage that four year head start gave him in 2012."

He goes on, "We can't allow that competitive advantage [to] occur again."

The second begins by saying it's no secret Clinton is preparing another bid and explains the organization "was formed to prevent Americans from ever having to see another Clinton in the White House or suffer through 12 years of Democrat rule."

It continues, "Whether it's Hillary, Joe Biden, or liberal up-and-comers like Elizabeth Warren, we need to stop these Democrats in their tracks now." And it reminds that the "Clinton Machine" is so powerful, Republicans need to start collecting research on the former secretary of state to "define the real Hillary before another Clinton Administration damages our country."

A third e-mail stokes fears of another Clinton in the White House by ticking through a series of Clinton scandals, including her leadership of the State Department during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

In addition to bringing in funds to do research and finance TV ads when the campaign gets closer, part of the exercise is designed to determine which of these messages sticks best by seeing which e-mail solicitation brings in the most money, according to the PAC.

It will be as effective as McConnell's efforts to make Obama a one term president. And we women will fight them, hard, relentlessly and we will win.

In 2007 and 2008 we heard all of this talk of the inevitability of Hillary Clinton as the next president. Funny, the Democrats dropped her like a rock.

The only tactic the right wing has seems to be to exagerate the lies they have already spread against potential Democrat candidates. They don't seem to have a candidate to vote FOR. Pathetic.

The GOP really has a penchant for destroying people even before they announce as a candidate (see Mitch McConnell). That just tells you how weak they believe they are. And they're right........so weak that this is probably their only option.....they have nobody they can get behind and support.

So they are doing a preemptive strike. Last preemptive strike we had landed us in some deep water. Well at least only a few will go down instead of the country.

@Michael "In 2007 and 2008 we heard all of this talk of the inevitability of Hillary Clinton as the next president. Funny, the Democrats dropped her like a rock."
No, we didn't drop her like a rock. There was a primary election she lost but she had the decency and love of country to serve our country honorably when called to duty.
Your rethugs are so focus on making the President fail (second term because they couldn't do anything during his first term) that they are wiling to let the country go down the toilet.
Too bad we can't flush them all. No big loss.

This is UNPRECIDENTED and I hope the women of America are paying attention. Hiliary Clinton can be attacked because she has a real Presidential-caliber resume; probably the best since Nixon or Eisenhower. Senator? CHECK! Secretary of State? CHECK! And while "First Lady" isn`t a prerequisite position; her efforts on the 1st Healthcare Reform effort taught Hiliary a bunch, as did what she observed for 8 years while Bill was the CIC.

If every candidate was as experienced & qualified as a 2016 version of Mrs. Clinton will be, America would be better off. Instead of trying to ruin her reputation, the GOP boys would do better to find an equally qualifed candidate but they apparently can`t.

If you want a woman President, you're going to have to change the wording of the Constitution. Ref: Article 2, U.S. Constitution.

As a software developer, I have been vetted countless times – my clients have included the legal departments of pharmaceuticals, investment banks law firms and government agencies. Fortunately I know how to keep a secret, not just because leaking information was illegal but also because it was immoral. I not only despise Snowden for what he leaked, but for also making it harder for those of us who actually know how to keep sensitive information to themselves.

Blah blah blah.. no amount of effort and money spent by Super PAC's were able to make Romney electable. Unless the GOP can come up with a candidate who is less of a cartoon than Romney was, say hello to President Hillary Clinton.
