First on CNN: Stop Hillary effort launches

Washington (CNN) - Just as support starts piling up for a second Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, the opposition forces are marshaling their resources to keep up.

Pro-Republican Super PAC America Rising is launching a fundraising effort today as their answer to the growing tide of support for Clinton. The PAC has a brand new site, StopHillary2016.org, a one-stop shop for Clinton haters.

And they're blasting a series of e-mails to randomized groups of donors to solicit money for the cause.

One draws on the lessons learned by Mitt Romney's failed presidential campaign. The PAC's chairman, Matt Rhoades, had managed the Romney campaign in 2012. He writes in the new fundraising note, "President Obama started his reelection campaign on his first day in office. I saw firsthand how big of an advantage that four year head start gave him in 2012."

He goes on, "We can't allow that competitive advantage [to] occur again."

The second begins by saying it's no secret Clinton is preparing another bid and explains the organization "was formed to prevent Americans from ever having to see another Clinton in the White House or suffer through 12 years of Democrat rule."

It continues, "Whether it's Hillary, Joe Biden, or liberal up-and-comers like Elizabeth Warren, we need to stop these Democrats in their tracks now." And it reminds that the "Clinton Machine" is so powerful, Republicans need to start collecting research on the former secretary of state to "define the real Hillary before another Clinton Administration damages our country."

A third e-mail stokes fears of another Clinton in the White House by ticking through a series of Clinton scandals, including her leadership of the State Department during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

In addition to bringing in funds to do research and finance TV ads when the campaign gets closer, part of the exercise is designed to determine which of these messages sticks best by seeing which e-mail solicitation brings in the most money, according to the PAC.

I agree. Hillary isn't any different from Obama... So I think instead of treating this like a game show, Democrats should really consider prepping someone less extreme to put up in '16. America does not need a another ill-planned tax reform, it needs an economical resurrection!

The party of the Christian Right who want theocracy, a ban on all abortions and want to persecute Gays, the party of the military-industrial complex who want endless wars and don't care about deficits, the party of the multinational billionaires like mormon Willard Romney who don't want to pay their fair share of taxers and the party of the corporate elite of Wall Street who want bonuses depsite thieir losses need to shut up. All tru American who want progress in this country are hoping for a Rick Santorum/Bachmann or Sarah Palin/ Newt Gingrich ticket. This will be the end of the Republican party.

Preemptive strike? You mean like what Romney, Bachmann, Cain, Santorum, Gingrich, Perry, etc. all got from the left?

hahahahahahahahahahahaha! That's all I have to say about them trying to stop Clinton. Especially now that President Clinton's polling numbers are in the 70s. Repubs have lost already. We will be putting another Clinton in the WH in 2016. case closed. All the repub candidates together can't beat Hillary.

Rising America? More like the GOP in regression. I'm still waiting on the GOP 2010 promise of jobs. So far they have stalled or regressed on issues. Voting Blue until the GOP dumps the TEA and the radicalized right they have let into the fold.

They still believe the way to win is to motivate their base. They fail to see that their "base" is shrinking. They fail to see that they cannot win in reliance on their base. Look at the picture of Hilary – it is a poke in the eyes of most women, and it will get that kind of reaction. America Rising is sinking the GOP.

I I hate to say it but Hillary is too old to be President. Her time was 2008 and she caved to Obama. We never did find out the exact delegate count for Hillary and Obama, as was promised, since Hillary did the acclamation speech. Sometime the door iis open and it is your time to claim your destiny. It doesn't reopen if you pass. Sorry Hil. Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda. the lament of the also rans.

Considering the attitude the Republicns have put forth during the last two presidential campaigns.....It looks like they will help the Democrats put Hilary Clinton in office without a fight....... You republicans haven't learned a thing....Ever since you publically let everyone know that you were out to put Obama down..... you have continued to turn the voters away from the Republican party,... Now you are starting to take punches at Hilary Clinton and ...considering your attitude, even this early.........she very likely will be right where you don't want her to be.....After the flubs of your candidate about the 47% and some of the other nasty digs....you lost ground that you will probably never regain!!!...frankly...the Republicans aren't smart enough to be in the White House!!!!

Well, at least we know Hillary is naive not a liar. Remember when Monica and Bill hit the headlines and her response when asked what she thought? She stated something like "she believed Monica was only out for the publicity and she 'thought' Billy-boy was innocent."

She was probably relying on his past history, or that assumption, wasn't she?:)

You Republicans have been once again living in a dream world...Your candidate dumped himself last election because he was taped putting his true feelings on tape...McConnell did the same thing with his intentions against Obama....You people just can't get it into your heads that this is a twp party system...We are supposed to work together for the betterment of the country...you just can't do that and keep your nastiness to yourselves....Hillary Clinton has already been helped by your attitude and very probably will be the leader in 2016!!!

Hillary had the decency to honorable serve....now that is laughable. there was no honor in the way she handled the death of American soldiers in Bengahzi.

I like how the left assume Hilary is a shoe-in for the next president. She really can't pull the same type of support that Obama did in '08. I just can't see her really getting the under-thirties and the minorities to the polls in the same way Obama did. Especially if Paul or Rubio are her Republican opponent.

Fair & balance coverage? Why is this news when a Republican group does it, you frame the group as hating Hillary Clinton instead of maybe they don't agreed with her politics? Democrats have for the last year been doing this to Rubio and Cruz and I have seen no coverage from your network nor any mention of the democrats hating Rubio or Cruz? Explains why your network has low ratings fallen and why the public has low esteem for the media in general.

Let me see you have Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, Marco Rubio and maybe Michelle Bachman, Rick Perry. The clown car is just about full. I would put my money on Hillary in a blow out. Obama beat Mittens by 5 million votes, Hillary will win by even more.

So now Faux "News" has a new mantra! Any day now they will finally stop pushing the phony "scandals," as they are going nowhere. I hope Hillary runs, because she will win, with or without the usual clown car conservatives shooting themselves in the foot.

All the Republicans have to offer is being against anything the Democrats will put forth. Republicans have nothing to offer as far as ideas, candidates, or solutions to create jobs, they are completely clueless.

The Republicans cannot stand to have a President of color, and imagine how the the good old GOP boys will feel in 2016 when they will be beaten by Hillary Clinton, in spite of all the mud and the money in the world they will throw at her.
