(CNN) - The U.S. House of Representatives should pass the Senate's comprehensive immigration reform package with a few additional requirements, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush co-wrote in an opinion piece.
The Republican reiterated his stance that immigration reform needs to be tailored to boost the ratio of visas issued for skilled workers and reduce those granted for family members beyond spouses and minor children.

Dar es Salaam (CNN) - President Barack Obama will meet with former President George W. Bush Tuesday morning in Tanzania, where they'll both attend a wreath laying ceremony commemorating the U.S. Embassy attack in Dar es Salaam, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney announced on Air Force One.
Talking about their upcoming meeting, Obama said Monday it will be a chance to talk about the President's Emergency Program for AIDS Relief, an aid program started by Bush during his first term.

The Market Vectors Coal Index ETF is down 17% in the last 30 days. Some individual companies have fared even worse. Shares of Peabody Energy Corporation have plunged nearly 30% from a month ago, as have shares in Yanzhou Coal Mining. Shares in Westmoreland Coal Co. are down about 10%.

But the inferno blazing across central Arizona proved too much. The entire team was killed Sunday while fighting the Yarnell Hill fire, northwest of Phoenix - the deadliest wildland blaze for firefighters in more than 35 years.

Students preparing to take subsidized government loans will see their interest rates double to 6.8% from current levels, starting Monday, July 1. But hope isn't lost yet. Lawmakers are working hard behind the scenes trying to strike a deal to save the 7 million college students who are slated to take the subsidized federal Stafford loans this year. Senate Democratic leaders are throwing their weight behind a bill that would extend the 3.4% rates for another year, just as Congress did last year.
