Obamacare delay emboldens repealers, makes it 2014 issue

Washington (CNN) - The e-mails came fast and furious.

Soon after the Treasury Department announced a one-year delay in a key provision of President Barack Obama's sweeping health care law, the Affordable Care Act, Republicans quickly called for its repeal.

three stinking years to get this implemented and they still can't do it. democrats and obama are total incompetents. problem is they know it is going to be a disaster and are now trying to get by another election before it explodes in their face. all the democrat lies are starting to catch up with them.

and all the while buisinesses are hamstring, not knowing what the heck is going on. this is why the economy and jobs hasn't recovered. obamacare might as well be renamed to obama-anchor because that is what it is to our economy

All they think is that he go something done which must be undone. What are they replacing it with? I thought people liked not being denied for having one of a large number of pre-existing medical conditions like being a woman or having a chronic disease.

Sorry, I'd rather have a government "death panel" decide my fate than a corporate "death panel" any day of the week.

The Cold Hard Facts are rearing it's ugly head. Hey man, send a nickle to the government and get 10 dollars back. Business can't won't hire because they don't have the money to pay for Obama Care. Most likely Obama Care will slowly fizzle out. In spite of the contrary you can't get blood out of a turnip. It is up to you to pay your own way.

Repubs are calling for the repeal of Obamacare because it's a distraction from the FACT that all of the Repubs economic, military and foreign policies are PROVEN FAILURES.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm a broken record .... but NO ONE has YET to provide evidence to the contrary. NO ONE!

Vote Democratic in 2014; you're a fool if you don't.

amazing – the only industrialized country in the world – can't even cover their own people ! every other industrial country covers their people – except this one. We need to bring in more people from other countries that has studied & are qualified to be doctors / & etc – That will bring the price of health coverage Down !! That's what they do in other professions !! The more people you have – when these professions end up flooding the market, the price comes down, on services !!

Yo, Rudy, I know you're being sarcastic, but there are NO DEATH PANELS in Obamacare! Paying for the medical directive consultation with your doc – WHERE YOU MAKE DECISIONS ABOUT YOUR LIFE – is NOT a "death panel."

My 86-year-old uncle passed away on Father's Day ... had a stroke, was hospitalized, had another stroke and heart attack and was put on life-support. Per his wishes, after his children and their families had a chance to say goodbye, he was taken off life support and peacefully passed away.

Obamacare provides coverage for the consultation my uncle had had with his physician, so his wishes were not only known to his family, but also known to the medical personnel attending him in his final hours. So they could help him pass with dignity. So his family would be spared the agony of trying to figure out what he would have wanted. So my uncle, a successful small business owner, World War II Navy veteran, active community member and voting Republican, could die a dignified death.

THAT'S what Obamacare provides in regard to end-of-life.

    Saying otherwise is a LIE.

Further thoughts on "death panels" and Obamacare:

Righties like to go on about how "bureaucrats" will decide who lives and who dies. The FACTS are that groups of health insurance companies, doctors, hospitals and other medical personnel have been developing best practices and guidelines over the last several years, not only as a way to provide more effective, standardized care for common medical situations, but to bring down costs. These guidelines have been developed for everything from infection prevention to protocols for heart attack.

Check out online NCQA and HEDIS; these involve measuring quality in the delivery of these best practices, as a way of making more transparent for healthcare consumers which providers are best following these established guidelines.

So all you right-wing nutjobs, enough of the "death panels" and bureaucrats! Wake up and smell the coffee – and grow the stones to accept that you're being lied to and manipulated when it comes to Obamacare!
