Washington (CNN) – Secretary of State John Kerry took a moment at the beginning of his remarks at the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue Wednesday to thank everyone for their support of Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, who was rushed to the hospital on Sunday.
"Teresa is doing better," Kerry said. "Under evaluation and we hope improving."
Heinz Kerry was taken to Nantucket Cottage Hospital by ambulance Sunday after falling ill, exhibiting symptoms similar to that of a seizure. She is currently staying at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where she is listed in fair condition.
