I think it's just a shame that people like Obama, Hillary, Pelosi and all of them were not aborted. What a wonderful world it would be if we didn't have to deal with these idiots.

Leave Texas alone, when the whole country goes bankrupt except Texas, we are not going to bail you out. You will rot in your progressive utopia. Now you little proggies, go kill some more babies!!

Otherwise keep your mouths shut and don't try to tell another woman what she can and can't do with her own body. Problem solved.

You have heard of the first amendment, right?

Why must people assume that atheists are baby killers? Many atheists are against abortion, and many Christians support abortion. It's not black and white

The problem is two fold. 1> People who deal in absolutes are typically going to be wrong sooner or later. To say NO abortion in any case is just asking for trouble. Women and their doctors need to have the ability to chose what is right for them. 2> Much of the problem is too many unwanted pregnancies. But some of the biggest anti-abortion folks out there are also anti-birth control , e.g. the Catholic church.

Try applying some sense to your positions and perhaps we'd be able to have reasonable freedoms and reasonable laws. The problem is too many people are too polarized and too all or nothing.

Don't like so many abortions happening? Then HELP provide education and birthcontrol to people. Don't call it a sin and make them feel guilty for their position.

The LAST thing we need are more unwanted children in this world. We see how they keep turning out...

"Tried to give Texas back to Mexico.
    They laughed at me."

Probably because no one takes one of Obama's illegals seriously.

There comes a time when (in general) an abortion should NOT be performed. My party doesn't use common sense in this issue at all.

Yes you do have a choice. Life or death. Call it for what it is. Don't sugar coat it.

@Fred "Atheists are so ignorant. Only a complete fool can actually look at the EXTREME complexity of the world and think that the possibility of a designer is void. I mean... seriously sit there and think about it, e.g., love, compassion, the human anatomy, the elements, the laws of the universe, etc."

Believers are so ignorant. Only a complete fool can actually look at the EXTREME violence, hate and killing and believe there is a magical man in the sky controlling it all.

I am happily married. Already a mother of two. And thrilled to be pregnant with twins. But at 16 weeks we discovered one of the fetuses had significant abnormalities. The other twin was healthy. So began a quest of specialist consults – anything and everything available to us to figure out a positive outcome. We wanted this pregnancy. We wanted two more children. But to save our healthy twin from being born 10+ weeks early (all specialists agreed this would be the case) we terminated the twin with no viable life. With the ruling today I presume I would not have been able to make this decision – and my healthy boy, born at full term, would have had a tragically different start to his life.
    ---
My heartfelt condolences to you on your tragic loss. The law passed in Texas clearly states that fetal abnormalities are exempted, as well as rape, incest, or when the mother's life is in jeopardy.

So.. All these white Republican men have the solution well in hand. For the record, I am a white male who is against abortion as a tool of convenience, but I am also a realist. How about this.. If they want to ban abortions, then they should create a massive State run orphanage, which I'm sure would cost billions. Or better yet.. Every person who voted for this bill gets a free unwanted child, or 2 or 10. Get the picture? They pass this crap legislation without ANY forward thinking. Who is going to take care of a child that a parent does not want or cannot care for? Who is responsible for the mental state of a child that was forced into a situation that may cause the parent to resent the child? The Republicans care about the child right up to the point when it's born, then they try to slash every means of support to the mother that can't afford the child. Oh, and also they are against free birth control that might prevent the situation entirely. Freaking idiots.

So, they don't allow the Mom to have an abortion, the baby is born, who will raise this child? Chances are it will become a ward of the state, and hard working people will foot the bill. Pretty soon, it will become a major, major expense. Are all these "Christian, Republican's" going to foot the bill? I think not. I think they should not interfere with a
woman's choice.....or, better still, let's have all these male republican's sterilized, that will solve the problem!

"love, compassion, the human anatomy, the elements, the laws of the universe, etc."

If you sit and think about it. Love comes from the same part of your brain that releases chemicals when you eat chocolate.
Human anatomy did not always look like this. Thus the caveman, and neanderthal. Why do we have an appendix if God just whipped us up? Since they are not of use, and are actually only a cause for health issues. Why do we have a tail bone but no tail? Maybe it's called science, maybe evolution.

As for abortion, if you take away the right to choose from women, we should start taking away the right to faith.
