"Nothing in the discussion by the pro-choice advocates addresses the rights of the baby who is being killed and dismembered as part of the procedure."

Except for the entire discussion contained in Roe v. Wade, which delved deeply into the balancing of both the mother's and the fetus's interests. Go inform yourself instead of just flailing about, inventing straw man arguments that show you don't even have a mastery of the basics of the issue.

Liberals cry that guns kill people so they want gun control. Yet, the same liberals will fight for the right to kill unborn, innocent babies who do not have a voice of their own to plead for their lives! Hypocrisy at its finest!

Liberal try to mask the issue by saying the government should not get involved with what they do with their bodies, but we all know this is a smoke screen. We don't care what you do with your bodies, as long as you don't kill another human being. Abortion is murder and the fact that America has allowed it for so long is truly mind blowing. This is not a religious issue, it's an issue of women killing other human beings! And, like all laws, there should be exceptions – if a women's health is at issue, abortion should then be a legal option. But, if you just want to kill a baby because you don't feel like raising one, abortion at that point is murder.

The difference is the adult had a choice to do what he/she did. The baby has no choice.

    Obama the Messiah
Why do all of you want to kill babies? There are loving families out there waiting years to adopt. By the way, it is cheaper to kill the baby than it is to adopt. Scary! You say it is a war against women, but in fact it is a war to save the babies from being killed. Abortion is appropriate in rape and incest cases, thats it.

    _____________________________________________________________________________

How many adopted children do you have ? Do you support an orphanage ? Are you a foster care parent ? Do you volunteer at your local hospital to care for the abused and neglected children ? If you do any of these things, then, your voice in this matter will be respected, otherwise, it is just an empty complaint.

our country has moved one step closer to stopping the mass murder of the most innocent among us. josef mengele would have been so proud of all the abortion supporters down there. women still have plenty of choices. murdering their late term baby should never be one of them.

@ George McHenry "The taking of an human life is wrong."

So you are advocating for ending the death penalty, ending all wars, free health care for the poor, and murder charges against factory owners discharging carcinogens. I mean, if it is wrong to cause the taking of life.....

After the baby is out of the womb, right wingers like Perry couldn't care less about them.

Right.... because the country refuses to spend trillions on free government programs for them. Ooops, they do. Never mind.

Skip Stam of North Carolina just slipped in an Abortion Bill attached to a Motorcycle safety bill after it was rejected by the legislature in NC. The bill was slipped in because the bill legislatures did not want open debate on the bill. This is the way they do things here. Deceptive and abusing the law.

Did any of you even READ the Bill???? It is not restricting abortions at 20+ weeks if the mother is in danger OR if the baby has severe fetal abnormalities.

As someone who has worked at an abortion clinic, I can attest that even early procedures (before 13 weeks) carry a risk. I am totally for doctors having to have admitting privileges. Not only does that cover the patient, BUT it covers the doctor and his staff.

The argument comparing abortion and capital punishment is ridiculous! The unborn are innocent, and guilty only of being in the wrong womb and at the wrong time!
Also for those who argue "the rights of a woman over her body" Did you forget biology? That developing HUMAN is IN a woman's body but NOT part of it! The science of DNA proves it.

It's amazing to me that if we find any type of living organism (blade of grass, microscopic organism, etc..) on Mars, everyone would claim "LIFE" on another planet. But an unborn baby isn't considered life.. It's crazy to me what people think and believe sometimes.

VoteOften: More already-born babies and children killed and starving to death at the hands of parents who don't want them, conservatives gleeful because they're turning women into baby machines, and liberals pissed off because their numerous voices were ignored.

Democrats used to argue that Partial Birth Abortions didn't happen. We all now know they do and they now say it's only a small percentage. They also argue that abaout the death penalty.

    HYPOCRITES all of them.

think about it.... how do we know that the person that would have cured cancer or alzheimers, wasn't snuffed out by an abortion, never even given a chance to take one breath? murder your babies, destroy your future. think about it.

And now, in NC, the GOP/Teatrolls are trying to stealth legislate these same types of deliberately prohibitive anti-abortion measures WITHOUT PUBLIC NOTICE, by tacking them onto a completely unrelated bill about motorcycle safety.

THE WAR ON WOMEN CONTINUES. CNN, you're doing a bang up job doing a disservice to the rest of the country by using TX as a distraction and ignoring that the GOP/Teatrolls are doing this ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Republicans are only interested in the welfare of children before they're born, after that they don't care about whether or not parents have jobs in order to support them, whether or not they have safe drinking water and clean air to breath, access to healthcare, a good education, etc.
