The GOP is NOT pro-life. They are pro power and money. They will use any means to accomplish this agenda and keep their uber-religious sheep following along. Anyone who votes for a GOP candidate based on abortion rights is seriously deluded. They care nothing for babies, born or unborn. They only care about their rich benefactors.

@Marc I'm glad that you're glad it passed. Just wait til you get pregnant. LOL With all these right to lifers out there, why are so many children in orphanages or foster care? There should be a loving family excitedly willing to adopt each and every one of them.

This isn't just about abortion. This bill will shut down every women's health clinic except the few who do have surgery credentials. Shame on the Republicans in Texas.

It must be divine to live such a charmed life, to never make a mistake, a miscalculation, or just not have the cards in your favor. Good for you – always being good boys and girls and never doing anything 'immoral' or unwise. That must be why you are in such a good position to judge. Seriously, I sincerely hope that some of you here are receiving more compassion from others than you are showing today.

This is the 21st century. Modern medicine and education has given us choices. Men and women can choose to marry or not. No longer do they need to feel guilt nor does this mean they are unfulfilled lives if they don't marry nor have children. Men and women can choose when and how many children they can have. What people keep denying is that not every child is a blessing. I am not sure God creates each and every child. What about the devil? How can an evil act of rape and it's baby not be the devil's child?

If the State had been trying to pass a bill that said that the State of Texas woudl now require men give up one testicle, I bet all of the male dominated House would have been having a fit. Funny how it does'nt work both ways.

Otherwise keep your mouths shut and don't try to tell another woman what she can and can't do with her own body. Problem solved.

Kelly51....war is a monster so why do we do it? Why does the US have one of the largest military forces which the American people constantly send out to kill people? Why do Americans need assault weapons in their homes?

The so called protection of the "un-born" is a bible driven agenda. The christ nazis don't give a hoot how the child ends up after it is born. They sure as hell won't take care of them.

Good for Texas. This bill seems like it is on it's way to becoming law. For all of the "choice" supporters, this bill doesn't ban abortion. It simply bans abortion after 20 weeks. That is a long time to make up your mind if you want to murder your baby or not. Most abortions happen well before that. It also places new guidelines for abortion clinics that require them to have the same certifications as other surgical center. What I want to know is why didn't they have that requirement to start off. These clinics are performing surgical procedures. And a huge percentage of women have complications from abortions and death isn't unheard of. Having qualified doctors with hospital admitting procedures is protecting the health of the woman seeking the abortion. The main reason not to require the same certifications and qualifications is so that more abortions can be done. This is best accomplished by allowing anyone (qualified or not) to do them. Abortion activists are willing to sacrifice the health and life of women to achieve their goal of the maximum number of abortions. That is a fact.

Why must a baby have to pass through the birth canal in order to be considered a person? Has anyone here ever given birth? It's the same baby it was 1 minute before the final push...

Atheists are so ignorant. Only a complete fool can actually look at the EXTREME complexity of the world and think that the possibility of a designer is void. I mean... seriously sit there and think about it, e.g., love, compassion, the human anatomy, the elements, the laws of the universe, etc.

New Rules. The Texas flag must replace the star with a giant rectum since the entire state seems to have it's head up it's collective rumps! When the largest state places dead last in so many important categories it's time to accept that they need to change or leave the union.
