(CNN) - The U.S. House of Representatives passed a revised version of the farm bill - one that doesn't include a food stamps extension. The vote was 216-208. The bill now heads to a conference committee with the Senate. The White House has threatened a veto of the House's version.

stupid GOP'ers...they can't even get their own to vote on this one either. Hello veto......goodbye relevance righties
Wasting time and money on a farm bill that will get vetoed. The GOTP is done come 2014.
It's President Obstruction at work.
Good job ! GOP
More GOP/Teatroll symbolic talking point manufacturing legislation that is DOA. "We can't govern, so we might as well mime doing so in a manner that gives us thin excuses to try to blame the other side for stuff."
I told you long time ago–GOP is gone dead in next election. Not a single idiot from GOP cult get elected. Stunning defeat GOP sees in next election, 2014.
Veto isn't likely. The Democrats will use their manipulative and unfair majority powers in the Senate to prevent this from getting to the President's desk.
These guys are set on losing the House. Let's see. "We'll alienate women, minorities, the poor and the compassionate. Now we can win elections."
I hope the Ethanol Subsidies will be removed from the Farm Bill before it is signed.
I find myself siding with the Oil Industry in opposing the EPA on this one.
The subsidies drive up the price of food and fuel and do nothing to help the environment. Probably does more damage to the land as more land is cultivated to meet the government-created demand.
It's such a stupid policy that it has no chance of being eliminated.

If you're a corporate farm, you're protected.
If you have the misfortune of being born into a poor family, or you lost your job because a corporation outsourced it to a third-world country, or if your husband died leaving you with young children, or if you work, but not at a high-paying job (hence the term "working poor"), then eff you.
Keep this in mind come November 2014, folks. We need to tell the GOP and its loser candidates to go eff themselves for a change.
Project Outreach Phase II
For those of you that think the GOP is done, get ready for the house and senate to be in the GOP hands, you dems will shortly be in the minority.

" The Democrats will use their manipulative and unfair majority powers in the Senate to prevent this from getting to the President's desk. "
Is that supposed to make sense? If they are the majority, what can be unfair about them stopping legislation? What might be unfair is a minority of 41% stopping legislation, as mcconnell gang does.
from out the mouths of babes into the fists of the rich – GOP stands for something don't they?
Not wanting to even extend the food card benefits to all who currently qualify is just one more example of the Republican party reaching new immoral lows by coveting the poor. Also a lack of wisdom on their part in that even FDR was wise enough to realize that public aide, like his Social Security, helps not only poor people, but also in giving more spending money in the poor's pocket's to boost the economy for everyone. Yet the Republics still seem to take delight in coveting the poor.
More " people who vote "Republican" are on food stamps. This is a fact. The GOP is only concerned about the "wealthy" and "well-off" If Faux news just for once would state this fact that people who vote "Republican" receive far more federal assistance which includes food stamps the party would be crushed. I travel throughout the country and see folks down win Clearwater, Tampa, KY, MO TN OH MI AL, MS, TX GA VA, living in poverty using food stamps to pay for groceries but are die-hard Obama hating Republicans. I guess the term "Pill-Billies" has some truth because more poor folks in Applachia are addicted to PX pain killers so their minds are fried and will beleive anything Faux news spews out
Goodbye GOP, Hello Hillary
can anyone explain how we need a farm bill?
Ya know, if you libby's continue to talk down the GOP like you do, don't you think that us conservatives talk down the dems? Continue to beat your chest now, but come Jan 14, the house and senate will be in the GOPs hands where it should be to get away from the scandal party of the libby dems.
All the dems need to do is pick up a few seats to take the house in 2014 and get rid of this GOP garbage!!!!!
It is true that more people who vote republican are on food stamps – and they will literally bite the hand that feeds them. Sadly they are just not bright enough to realize this. The republican party relies on three groups of voters: 1.) the wealthy, 2.) the religious nutbags, and 3.) the simple minded who believe all the crap they see on Faux News and are not bright enough to see how they are being played.
Maybe just be straight forward with this article and say the half-African American President exchanges text messages with a African American Rapper who raps which is considered African American music. Ok, so what if former President Bush exchange text messages with Rand Travis? Would that made the news? My answer is no. This country will and always be White vs Black and I don't understand why. Jay Z is by far not the average rapper and is probably close to being a Billionaire. Please find something more interesting that's happening in the world than this crap.

This is the second story I've seen about Jay-Z today. There's got to be something more important going on in the world today. My dog pooped three times...
Historically whenever Dems make big anti gun push they get thrown out of office. The antigun media frenzy doesn't really matter it's the anti gunners that are out of touch. Look at all the guns and ammo sales since the Dems started their rabid gun ban. They know it though that's why they started right at the end of the last elections. But they are still going to get thrown out, even Bill Clinton told them not to do it or they would get thrown out, but they are too drunk on their power to care.
