Obama says Martin's death a tragedy, asks nation to respect call for calm
Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama called on Sunday for "calm reflection" following the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
The president, in a statement, acknowledged an emotionally charged climate but concluded that "we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken."

Very well said Woman in California and Dominican Mama. I too am the mother of a young black man that wears hoodies and has since birth. I fear for him all of the time.
The case was weak and the prosecution allowed the defense to put the deceased victim on trial instead of the assault charge having murderer. I fear there are going to be many more cases like this where the murderer just has to make sure his victim is dead so we don't hear the entire story. But I knew it would end like this. They didn't even want to arrest him, they rarely spoke of his dad being a magistrate and you know there is some ish in the game when the Klan pays for a Mexicans lawyer.
I just wish people would stop calling a dead child and his grieving parents names.
