‘Stop Hillary’ group ramps up anti-Clinton efforts
Washington (CNN) - Hillary Clinton may or may not run for president in 2016, but the conservative effort to derail her potential candidacy is already underway.

The organizers behind Stop Hillary PAC, a political action committee quietly incorporated in May, are stepping into public view this week as they ramp up their efforts to harangue Clinton as she mulls over her political future.
On Monday, the PAC is announcing its leadership team, steered by Ted Harvey, a conservative Colorado state senator who was a vocal opponent of the recent gun control laws passed in the state.
Also coming on board are Garrett Marquis, a media strategist and alumnus of John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign; Alex Shively, a former aide to Georgia Rep. Tom Price; Jacob Leis, a Colorado-based political strategist; and Dan Backer, a Washington attorney and lobbyist.
Those aren’t the most prominent names in Republican politics, but according to Marquis, that’s just fine. The PAC and its messaging are designed to appeal to grassroots conservatives and low dollar contributors, not traditional big donors.
Put another way, the group wants to be a boisterous party-crasher as the 2016 campaign gets underway, ginning up controversy and online contributions with barbed attacks against Clinton. To start, the PAC is releasing a video later this week “that will get a lot of attention,” Marquis promised.

The organization’s plans to “Stop Hillary” are admittedly scattershot in these early stages of the race. Their portfolio could include “bracketing” events at Clinton appearances around the country, or local TV and radio ads, or social media efforts. If Clinton does decide to run for office, the PAC will be in Iowa and New Hampshire and South Carolina waiting for her.
The point, Marquis said, is “to make noise” wherever Clinton goes.
“We’re supporting anything that is the opposite of Hillary,” he said. “We will play however needed, wherever Hillary is playing. If she endorses in the Virginia governor’s race, we will go there. Assuming she is active in Iowa, we will be there, too, and we will make some considerable noise.”

The group is separate from “Stop Hillary 2016,” a project initiated last month by America Rising, a new opposition research outfit helmed by former Mitt Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades and a pair of former Republican National Committee officials.

As an independent voter, hearing stupid/desperate tactics like this (3 years before the 2016 election) makes me more likely to vote for a Democrat like Hillary. Everyone involved with this project is pathetic and only hurting their brand.

Piano Legs has been eyeing a run since the Democrat power brokers stuffed it to her in '08. She has more baggage than a 747 and more dead bodies buried than Arlington National. Be serious people: do you really want another corruptocrat with NO lifetime accomplishments (other than being 'married', if that's what you call it, so Bubba)? We've got one now and how's that going?
Lets see we have Hillary or Cruz, Paul, Rubio – not even close. Hillary has my vote. I might vote for Christie if he can get out of the primary, but he won't.

While I get a kick out of how the right is afraid of Hillary and attempts childish little games like this, as someone who typically votes Democrat I don't know that I can bring myself to vote for her. I am uncomfortable with dynasties, just like the Bushes. If we are trying to elect the first female president, I would be much more interested in Elizabeth Warren – a TRUE progressive, and highly competent and accomplished woman.
Someone please list Hillary's top 5 accomplishments that would qualify her to be Commander in Chief. Yeah, I know that's a tough one..... OK, top 3 accomplishments.

Considering that the GOP has absolutely nothing to run on or to offer I guess this is all they have. They are the experts in smear, corruption and sitting on their backsides while collecting a paycheck so it makes sense. How this will work however is quite funny since they have alienated women, hispanics & blacks, not sure who they have left to convince.

If the Republicans have their way, they'll ensure Hillary a win. It's up to the grass roots to get the information out. Hillary has such a blind following. The scandals will simply be dismissed by the media as they have already done. Insider trading, implication in the death and coverup of Vince Foster, her complicity in fraudulent land transactions in AK, her complicity in Mena AK, her involvement in the covert Clintoncare scam, her involvement in the cook stove / carbon credit scheme, her involvement in Benghazi, the list is huge. We have to get the word out and force the media to take these issues up. The Republicans will do the same thing they did with holding back on Obama. The Republicans need to stand on limited government, smaller government, and ending the American Empire abroad. Close down the alphabet agencies that are choking this nation and let individuals take the lead. Regulation is fine, over-regulation is deadly.

What is funny about this whole situation is that should she NOT run, a bunch of money was spent for nothing. And CNN'S push to highlight this group will have been a waste of space.

The GOP was once the party to look up too, not you scrape your boots after even talking with one of them. What happened GOP? Too many pandering to the lowest common denominator? I think Hillary would make an excellent president. She is more moderate and did an excellent job as secretary of state. Sure the Bengazi incident hurt but do you think she wanted harm to come to them. NO. Bush. giving those tax cuts to the wealthiest of Americans, who don't know what its like to be poor because they never had to live it cost the US Treasury nearly 14 trillion dollars. things were booming when Bill Clinton was president.
