
(CNN) – As Newark mayor Cory Booker's star rises on the national scene, conservatives are hoping to disrupt the Democrat's campaign for U.S. Senate.
Newly-created Super PAC American Commitment Action Fund posted an online ad Tuesday going after Booker as an absentee-mayor, using his own words and that of fellow Newark politicians to try and paint the portrait of an ineffectual and divisive leader.

(CNN) - Senate Majority PAC, an independent group that works to keep the Senate in Democrats' hands, launched another attack ad Tuesday against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, highlighting the Kentucky Republican as a "guardian of gridlock."
The ad, also sponsored by Patriot Majority USA, is part of a campaign the two groups kicked off last month called "30 Years Is Too Long," as they seek to oust the senator in next year's election.

It will know who you are, how much money you make, and whether or not you're in the United States legally.
The prospect of one online system having access to so much personal information is making some watchdogs nervous. In a USA Today op-ed decrying the system as a "privacy nightmare," researchers Stephen Parente and Paul Howard penned these scary words: "This hub will achieve what has, until now, only appeared in pulp thrillers: a central database linking critical state and federal data on every U.S. citizen for real-time access."

CNN: Landing gear on Southwest jet collapses, 10 hurt
Ten people suffered minor injuries Monday when the nose gear of a Southwest Airlines jetliner collapsed after landing at New York's LaGuardia Airport, the city's Port Authority reported. Southwest Flight 345 was landing at LaGuardia from Nashville about 5:40 p.m. when the accident occurred. The nose of the blue-and-orange jet came to rest on the ground after the aircraft came to a stop, and passengers evacuated the aircraft on emergency slides.
