Boehner condemns Steve King remarks, says immigration reform harder

Washington (CNN) - House Speaker John Boehner on Thursday rebuked Iowa GOP colleague Rep Steve King for controversial comments on undocumented immigrants, calling the remarks "deeply offensive and wrong," and acknowledged the fallout makes it harder to reach a deal on immigration reform.

King, when discussing a proposal to give citizenship to the children of undocumented workers in an interview last week with Newsmax, suggested many of them were drug smugglers.

Well, I don't know that Immigration Reform is what John Boehner actually wants to work on. Abortion has been his mainstay this past 2 years or so, and if not abortion, there is always the 28 or so attempts at eliminating the ACA.

I will admit that the GOPerville rebranding talking points took a very big and a very negative hit. Again.

Why is bigot King allowed to sit on the House Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security? He should be
    removed immediately.

"suggested many of them were drug smugglers."

No he didn't. He EXPLICITLY STATED that many of them are drug smugglers. There was no "suggesting" involved here. He made it as a statement of downright fact AND colored it with extremely disgusting imagery painting them as all being 130 pounds and having "cantaloupe sized" calves from carrying 75 pound bags of weed across the border. CNN's kid-gloved word choice here is yet more evidence of just how "fair and balanced" the editors are desperately forcing CNN to be.

The weeper and HS minions did run on jobs, jobs, jobs in 2010 and they have done absolutely nothing except stand on the road like the bumps they are.

Hey Steve, why don't we deport all those Leagle Americans that use those drugs. Then maybe we won't have to worry about those cantalope ankled smugglers.

I don't think that Beohner is making the process any easier either because he didn't even give the Senate version a try. If he had done that and watched the House vote it up or down, then that would have been helpful.

Hey Boehner, remember the word (JOBS). Remember how you and your pack of thieves were going to get the country back up and running. Remember how it was the solemn sworn duty of all elected to do what was right for the American people. Remember how it all got swept under the rug when the democrats won the White House, and you and your fellow rethuglican, Mitch McConnel got your heads together in an attempt to rid the White House of Obama in one term. I remember. And you'd be damn disappointed to watch me vote next election. Your whole party is toast in my eyes.
