Friend: Woman in sexting scandal loves politics, 'idealized' Weiner

(CNN) - The woman at the center of the Anthony Weiner scandal is a 23-year-old Indiana native who is passionate about politics, and was a strong supporter of the New York politician even after he resigned from Congress amid similar circumstances two years ago, a friend said Wednesday.

Sydney Elaine Leathers actively posts about politics and her Democratic views on Facebook. That's where she met Lou Colagiovanni, a political blogger and writer who moderates a political Facebook page where Leathers frequently posted messages.

There is no accounting for some people.

    From the article:

Colagiovanni, who said he has been involved in dozens of political campaigns around the country and works as a media consultant, said he and Leathers discussed selling the story. He told her she could use it as a "springboard for national attention to ride on to fame and fortune."
"I hope we make some $ out of it," she wrote.

Trollop. While Weiner is unfit for office, can we do something about preventing this skank from getting rich from the whole sordid affair?

Stop the madness! Why are these women letting the world know their personal dirty secrets? Is there something in it for them? If I was on the other end of those phone calls and texts, I would be embarrassed, and not talking to the media.

Anyway, why is the media so obsessed over this? They were not obsessed and calling for Clinton or Sanford to step down, so why Weiner? Why are they not demanding that McDonnell step down, as he DID do something illegal. I'm so sick of the double standards.
