Weiner: Carlos Danger was 'a joke'

(CNN) – Anthony Weiner was asked Thursday about why he chose the Hispanic pseudonym "Carlos Danger" which he used for sexting even after his 2011 resignation from Congress.

The contender for New York City's Democratic mayoral ballot took one more question about this Twitter handle Thursday morning from Univision during an interview; this time asked: "Why did you pick an Hispanic name and how dangerous were you really?"

"It was a joke in my personal life between me and one person," Weiner responded.

"I'm not going to comment on anything about the information that that person has chosen to release."

Weiner has refused to bow out of the mayor's race despite plunging poll numbers. He has instead attempted to move on from the revelations, answering nearly every question about calls for him to drop out as coming from the 'powerful people' who don't want him in the race.

This poor guy needs some counseling.
Truly hard to believe that some people are blaming his wife for all of this. How on earth is this her fault???

Hey, Anthony. You should look up the symptoms of narcissism. You've got 'em all, bub. You're so in love with yourself that you use and abuse those around you to appease your ego. Has anyone asked you why are you running for a bigger office than the one you resigned from? I would.

A Joke? It doesn't appear your wife was laughing! Enough with politicians who cannot do right by their own families and STILL think they can do right be us! There is a laundry list of them and from both sides of the aisle! Oh, I believe in second chances but let them start at home, first!!

The people going after Huma are only doing so because she is close with Hillary Clinton and because it presents them (they think) with an opportunity to draw an analogy between Huma and Hillary and criticize them both (but, more importantly, Hillary) for staying with their husband after being cheated on. Bottom line is that attacking Huma is being used as a means of attacking Clinton for 2016.

No matter how disgusting you may find Weiner to be, I still thinks he has a good chance of being elected their next mayor.

Sure thing, Carlos. Now it's time to crawl back in your hole and try to save your marriage, if that's possible. I expect she'll drop you like a hot potato now.
