Cairo (CNN) - In an attempt to break through the political impasse in Egypt, U.S. senators John McCain and Lindsay Graham are expected to arrive in Cairo on Monday to meet with Egypt's interim leaders.
The two Republican senators will meet with interim President Adly Mansour, Defense Minister Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and interim Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy, said Egyptian foreign affairs spokesman Badr Abdelatty.

I'm anxious to see what the Muslim Brotherhood reaction will be to this pair. If they think that they will be talking to the Obama administration's political enemies, then they are in for a big surprise.
Stay there please
The Egyptians don't need these two..........they have forgotten what it means to fight for freedom in America.
You know, maybe it is just my particular sense of humor but I haven't stopped laughing since President Obama asked these two clowns to go over to Egypt...to do whatever.
Egypt, that peaceful little piece of the world....
You're a funny man Mr. President!
ROFLMAO!!!
This seems like a self licking ice cone.

These two are going to demonstrate that despite political differences and domestic squabbles, the U.S. has a single policy when it comes to foreign policy when it comes to Egypt. The Obama administration wants to show that dissenting voices here at home are nothing more than a very small, but very loud, minority.
"The Obama administration wants to show that dissenting voices here at home are nothing more than a very small, but very loud, minority."
Are they even that loud anymore, Rudy? Or did we finally just tune out altogether? I ask only because it is my impression that fewer and fewer are listening to the "dissent" here at home. Beyond laughing at them, that is.
So why not call it a coup and save ourselves the $1.3 billion per year? Because, empire.
These two are going to demonstrate that despite political differences and domestic squabbles, the U.S. has a single policy when it comes to foreign policy when it comes to Egypt.

Okay Rudy, let's set aside the humor.
These two have been diligent in their attempts to create havoc not only domestically but around the world.
Let us recall McShame's last trip to the Middle East and his posing for photographs with possible kidnappers.
They have been outstanding representatives for our very own domestic taliban.
I don't know what kind of Jedi mind trick the President pulled to convince them to go on this little jaunt to Egypt and ACT RIGHT, but I do know that he probably got their out of control egos involved and appealed to their over-blown sense of self, and stilted sense of patriotism.
Whatever the reason Rudy, I find it funny as hell.
So, are these two going to be taken hostage or seriously or as honest brokers that can work out a deal? I don't think either are going to happen. They will be ignored.

Furthermore Rudy, you'd only be fooling yourself if you think that these two IN PARTICULAR, could give two hoots to promoting whatever view President Obama would like to project abroad.
All they've cared about as per their words and actions is tearing ANY AND ALL efforts and agenda that THIS President has tried to promote or project.
As I said before I believe the President stroked the hell out of their egos to get them to go.
Frankly Rudy, I think the President probably got rid of them so that he can get some work done without their "dissenting" ramblings.

No humor here. The Obama administration wants to send the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi supporters a message. Both sides of American politics regard the Muslim Brotherhood the same way. Seriously. There have been lots of calls to cut of the $1.3B annual aid, calls to support Morsi, and calls to support the resistance. Voices from both sides of the aisle have called for all of the above. The administration wants to show that those who wield the actual power are of one opinion.

And this from Rick McDaniel no less!
Rudy we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one.
I guess if he wanted to send two of the most war-hawkish Rethugs he could find these two would be it.
Not the sanest. Not the most respected, mind you.
