Paul on Christie: There's room for both of us

(CNN) - Sen. Rand Paul said Sunday that Gov. Chris Christie is making a mistake when he argues the GOP needs to be more pragmatic and hold fewer internal ideological debates.

"Saying there's no room for us is a big mistake," Paul said on "Fox News Sunday."

Lawmakers: NSA reform needed

(CNN) - Republican Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan said Sunday he's hopeful the House will have another chance to vote on a measure that would curb the National Security Agency.

The Washington Post reported Friday that an internal NSA audit showed that the agency broke privacy rules "thousands of times each year," by making illegal interceptions of phone calls and e-mails, using methods later deemed illegal, and not fully reporting the extent of the agency's errors.

McCain: U.S. has ‘no credibility’ in Egypt

(CNN) – It’s high time for the United States to cut off its $1.3 billion in aid to Egypt as the military regime cracks down violently on protesters, Sen. John McCain argued Sunday.

The Arizona Republican added the U.S. has lost its credibility in the region after failing to follow its own law that requires suspending aid to states overtaken by a military coup–though the U.S. has not officially described the recent regime change in Egypt as a coup.

President Obama golfs with Larry David

(CNN) - Wrapping up his vacation, President Barack Obama added a new name to his list of golf buddies: Larry David, star of "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

The president teed off with the "Seinfeld" co-creator Saturday at the Farm Neck Golf Club in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, on Martha's Vineyard.
