President Obama golfs with Larry David

(CNN) - Wrapping up his vacation, President Barack Obama added a new name to his list of golf buddies: Larry David, star of "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

The president teed off with the "Seinfeld" co-creator Saturday at the Farm Neck Golf Club in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, on Martha's Vineyard.

They were joined by private equity investor Glenn Hutchins and former U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk.

David has a new movie out on HBO, "Clear History," which is set on Martha's Vineyard.

Obama is scheduled to depart the island off Cape Cod on Sunday to return to Washington.

Wonder why Obama and members of congress have elected not to participate in Obamacare. Guess they must have read it after they passed it.

Actually, Obama has had less vacation days then Clinton, W, George HW and Reagan. You people just look to complain about anything the guy does.

Except for america's image he's doing less actual harm on the golf course than when he is 'working'. I've never been less proud....

It is OBAMA who is the clown – that is the national embarassment that should be fixed, not that rodeo guy.

There is no such word as golfs. Golf is a noun not a verb. It would be OK if we all started baseballing , tennising and footballing.

@Fore Score and Three Years To Go:

Again, with the misspellings of screen names! You righties really are a bunch of dolts.

BTW, do you ever take vacation from your job? And when you do, are you continually given updates and briefs from staff, keeping you informed of EVERYTHING that is happening while you are gone, and able to be in contact with not only your staff, but with the heads of all governmental agencies, as well as the entire U.S. military force?

    Just wondering ...

The people who are making ridiculous remarks about the President being on vacation must be woefully ignorant of the modern day communication abilities. He is not missing any briefings or opportunities to lead at all. You idiots who seem to have to forgotten that GWB spent the least time of any president in e White House, and also that currently Congress is way more in recess than doing their job in Washington.

Generally speaking, the less time Obama and our Congress - Dems, GOPers and I's - spend in Washington, the better.

I encourage them all to stay away.

    Anybody else remember this:

10 days before the invasion of Iraq, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks said during a London concert that, "we don't want this war, this violence, and we're ashamed that the President of the United States [George W. Bush] is from Texas".

The Dixie Chicks were boycotted in the U.S. , assaulted by talk-show conservatives, and their albums were discarded in public protest.

Why? Because they were speaking against our president during wartime.

Isn't it interesting how the GOP flipped that on its head once President Obama was elected (for the first time)? It all started with Limbaugh saying he wanted the President to fail. Since then it's been open season on the President – and in fact, if you don't publicly slam him, you're called a RINO.

Worse yet, if you dare to support the President or any of his policies, Karl Rove primaries you and leaders of the GOP want you excommunicated (just ask Gov. Christie).

Obama has achieved quite a lot considering an entire house of congress works at nothing but ways to bend the system to stop him. I think if we cleaned house we could do a lot for a couple years. With the GOP in any office we can forget anything actually getting done.

No wonder HE thinks everything is as it should be, his vacations cost more than a Saudi King's! And it's not even HIS money!

All that blather about the "middle class", he probably doesn't even know one! He spends all his time in Washington with the "1%" and the same on his luxurious vacations!

Nice to know some people back their bold statements up with facts. Most likely a republican saying Obama goes on vacation too much. Look at President Bush Senior and Bush Junior's record. They combined the most ever then any other combo of presidents in history. Plus Bush Jr had the most on vacation. Plus the Senate and House had off the most ever during those presidents time. Plus the U.S. fell apart during their time. Plus they started 3 wars during their terms. So who is the one that is trying to destroy the world? The Bushes and republicans. Proof is in the pudding. I been alive during that time so don't give me that they were working on vacation.

I wonder who was more annoying? Larry or Barry? It sounds like a future episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm". I can hear Larry raving "I'm playing golf with Obama!" to Leon Black and telling him he cant come with him.

Good to see this president manage to take a little time off. Bush was hardly ever at the White House he was on vacation so much. Plus of course Obama is taking a fraction of the vacation the House GOP is taking, even after they never work when they're supposedly working. Can't figure out why we aren't paying the House GOP for part time with no medical benefits considering they don't even work that much. Boehner and Cantor could always go check out the McBudget for hints on how to live of their reduced benefits.
