Obama to name new top economic adviser
New York (CNNMoney) - President Obama is set to name Jeffrey Zients as the director of the National Economic Council, one of the top economic policy roles in the White House, a senior administration official confirmed to CNN.
Zients would replace Gene Sperling, who has held the post since January 2011 and also held it during the final years of the Clinton administration.

I think this is a problem in our national politics: people moving in and out of key jobs at what seems like an 8-month rate. For example, Obama has had 4 NEC directors, and he's been President for 5 years.
A lot of these top jobs should be 4-year commitments. It's hard to see how Zients will have an impact if he moves on next year, which would be a likely prospect. Important posts like these should not be train stations on the gravy-train ride to more lucrative positions in the private sector.
What hell need new economic advisor. At one million five a year last one complete failure. Scarecrow still need brain.
