Cutter on Crossfire: Gun increase breaks all logic

There will be NO CHANGE in gun control laws because some Americans have a unreasonable fetish about them. And / or they feel they have to protect themselves from the government!! So, get ready for more incidents like this. Don't worry after about a half dozen more it will be reported the same way they currently report gun deaths in Chicago or any other city. JUST ANOTHER DAY, LIVING THE AMERICAN DREAM..

There are two states (North Carolina and Arizona) in these United States that has now outlawed the DESTROYING of guns bought back by police. This is something some cities have done to get guns off the street, and the NRA doesn't like that idea. So the police MUST either keep the guns or sell the guns back to gun shop owners, but they CAN NOT destroy them..... just another day living the (sometime dangerous) American Dream

Despite all the background checks, there will be the crazy people who aren't flagged just yet who legally get weapons. There needs to be a better way to make sure that people don't use weapons in such a wrong way.

There will be no end to the senseless violence in the country. The population has been weened on senseless violence in television, movies, theater, and music. The fact that war is glamorized plays a part, and guns will always be available, regardless of any attempts to limit, or control them. Other nations have succeeded in curbing the violence, but here it will never happen. We're too smart to allow this to happen. It's one of the qualities that makes us special.

Would it have been so bad if a tougher background check may have prevented the Naval Yard tragedy?
Would it be so bad if Congressional legislators passed a law requiring tougher background checks?

Well here we go again; with the knee-jerk reaction. Let's do something I don't care what it is; as long as I look good as a politician. God, Allah, the Lord, Buddha, take your choice must like crazy people; he makes so many of them.
If it was not for tools (including the gun) the human race would not be who it is today. Even the mistakes we make; make us who we are and who we will be in the future. And you will never be able to take all the crazies out of the equation.

Sick and tired of this two faced argument that the only answer to a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun'
Most of these situations unfold in seconds and
The question is who knows who is the good guy or the bad guy in that instant ( you want a gun at home to protect against burglars or private property intruders Ok for me sort of.). but not concealed carry.
Every person should need a license to own a gun just like for driving a car. Make your weapon of choice for Home turf defense and if you are hunter or gun club sport shooter You can have those on top your gun club weapon kept in a safe at your choice of gun club and your hunting gun, ok at home as well with a license that says in which states you wish to use it.
Such license fees can than make the enforcement side of BACK GROUND CHECKS economic and more effective against criminals and the mentally disturbed.
Gun shows have to be registered and all gun shops licensed. and only state licensed retailers may participate in gun shows. Gun manufacturers can sponsor a local retailer or retailers with product but not sell to third parties.
The constitution is still effective and the 2nd amendment... but over time may be 10 -15 years gun crime and suicides, accidental in home deaths will reduce.
PS to get on stupid justification out the way my car goes beep beep noisily if I am going to bump into anything behind while reversing, child, bicyckle, or wall, another car.

US sounds to me as the only country mentally sick people express their feelings by shooting people to death. If its not gun mentality, what is it.

I think it would be rather easy for people who have enough money and well being in life to live in safe protected areas that are gated and have what amounts to their own police force to protect them to favor strict gun control. This is to deny those who are less fortunate and cannot afford such a home life the best means to protect themselves and their families.

Logic escapes the Guns Over People tea potty daily. It's a bad word like "compromise" is to them.

Apply negligence laws to gun sellers. We have laws that make you liable for damages if you entrust your car to family members or friends, who then get into accidents with your car. We should hold gun sellers liable for selling guns to people who are mentally ill or have criminal records and use the guns to commit murders. The government does not need to require gun sellers to conduct background checks on buyers, but gun sellers would be liable for all natural and foreseeable consequences of selling guns to people who should not get them. In other words, gun sellers sell guns at their own risk if they choose not to do background checks.

My plan will work because there is no constitutional right to SELL guns. The Second Amendment does not protect people's right to SELL guns.

its amazing how gullible the american people have become. they allow big money to blind them even though the facts are right in front of their eyes. how much more guns can this country tolerate. everyday, hundredth of thousands of guns are pouring into our society, then we get surprised when one of our wacko citizen goes berserk and commit mass murder. these folks are doing the same thing on obamacare, they are allowing the repubs to spend billions of partisan dollar on obamacare, and drinking the cool aid even though every facts shows that states that accept obamacare are bringing down premiums and the overall budget. i am tired of these docile dems that keep allowing the repubs to run right over them. they dont stand up for nothing, Obama is the only one i see out there defending this law, while the rest of these cowardly dems shivers in a corner somewhere. i wish they had an ounce of the destructive backbone the repubs shows on a daily basis to get their backward ideology across.
