Congress: will it be a government shutdown or budget compromise?

Washington (CNN) - There hasn't been a government shutdown in more than 17 years, since the 28 days of budget stalemate in the Clinton administration that cost more than $1 billion.

Now we hear dire warnings and sharpening rhetoric that another shutdown is possible and perhaps likely in less than two weeks when the current fiscal year ends.

This is just too good to pass up. In another web-site, a republican congressman from Georgia, complained that his salary was not enough. The story was looked at before the story in CNN, where congress wants to take 3 million plus off the food stamp program. Here's what will happen. The congressman will get voted a raise, and the people on food stamps will be the ones paying for it. Seems sensible to any person out here, except maybe the kids going to bed hungry. !-in-5 children live in poverty. Maybe it's time for our elected mobsters to do without too?

If the government shuts down, it is fully the Democrats' doing. Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and the rest. The president can't postpone part of Obamacare, and keep the rest of it as law. That's not legal – and he's not an imperial leader (even though he sees himself as one). On those grounds alone, the entire law should be postponed (defunded). although there are many more valid reasons to defund it.

But how could this be? Boehner and the GOP say if they can't defund/repeal the ACA, Americans will lose jobs, businesses will go broke, our economy will suffer. So their alternative to fix this so called disaster. Shutdown the government! Wouldn't a better health care bill be more productive and beneficial? Isn't that how our congress is supposed to win "disagreements" with each other, by proposing a better "idea"? What part of this do you nice republicans not understand or agree with? I sure would like to be nice to you misinformed conservatives, but you just won't listen to simple logic and completely disregard facts, so that gets me frustrated and I call you names, like stupid and ignorant. I'll try to control my frustration, even though your misinformed votes affect me and my family. So from now on I'll just call you, "the poor misinformed nice people that just can't comprehend things very well but like to argue as if they are experts on all topics".

    Dear American Friends:

This is how evil looks like:

    1. Defund Obama Care
    2. Shut down the Government
    3. Have riots all over America
    4. Humiliate the Black President for destroying the country
    5. Anyway, we are the first country in the world...with Christian founding fathers

So tired of the republican antics, they're like kids-throwing tantrums because they didn't get their way. They offer no alternative plans to anything they oppose.Their only motivation is to be against Obama no matter how senseless it makes them look or how destructive their stance is to the people they claim to represent.I can't wait for 2014 to get rid of these unpatriotic losers. The word 'Republican' seriously makes me sick to my stomach right now!
