Sarah Palin: Hillary Clinton ill-suited for president

Washington (CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she would be "disappointed" in the American electorate if Hillary Clinton becomes a serious candidate for president in 2016.

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee argued Clinton would not be right for the role as commander in chief after four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, died last year in a terrorist attack against a U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

"If (Benghazi) doesn't have an impact on the 2016 presidential election, if she is a candidate, then America, I am very disappointed in our electorate," Palin said Sunday on Fox News, where she's a contributor.

She said "anyone who would just throw away 200 years of military ethos and leave our men behind to be murdered" should "never be considered as a commander in chief."

The lack of security at the consulate and the September 11, 2012 attack are poised to be a major point of contention by Republicans if Clinton decides to run for president. Clinton ultimately took responsibility for diplomats' safety, and was grilled before two congressional committees in January.

At one point she lost her temper while responding to questions from Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin. He was asking her about the erroneous, initial talking points that claimed the attack stemmed from a spontaneous protest against an anti-Islam video, though the administration later defined it as a terrorist attack and said a protest never happened.

"What difference at this point does it make?" Clinton responded. "It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, senator."

The attack on Benghazi is still a matter of congressional investigation by House Republicans.

"That's why I'm so grateful for Congress to be pursuing what happened in Benghazi," Palin said. "Because at this point, it still makes a difference what happens in Benghazi."

"Anyone who doesn't understand that and dismisses it as being indifferent, they should not be our commander in chief," she continued.

For her part, Clinton said in a recent interview with New York Magazine that she is in no hurry to decide about a potential 2016 bid for the White House, saying it is a decision "not to be made lightly."

Asked how she plans to combat any conflicts she may face related to her political legacy, she said the best course is to "find common ground."

"I have a lot of reason to believe, as we saw in the 2012 election, most Americans don't agree with the extremists on any side of an issue," Clinton said in the interview. "But there needs to continue to be an effort to find common ground, or even take it to higher ground on behalf of the future."

Palin's comments mark a stark contrast to high praise Clinton received Sunday from House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, who said if Clinton decides to run, "she will win."

"And when she becomes president, she'll be one of the best-equipped, best-prepared people to enter the White House in a very long time," Pelosi said on CNN's "State of the Union."

Noting Clinton's experience as secretary of state, as a U.S. senator from New York and as a first lady, Pelosi said Clinton would be "more prepared than President Obama; certainly more prepared than President Bush; certainly more prepared than President Clinton I might admit."

Palin, as prez, would be totally paralyzed when faced with any kind of decision, even which pet she'd want in the WH. For her to say Hillary is unfit because of Benghazi is ludicrous. Hell, even in this country *Americans* have killed and shot presidents and candidates. And the Middle East? Give me a break. Of course she can't see it from Alaska, so she knows nothing about it.

I can´t believe anyone would actually listen to what this "Human Joke" Palin would have to say .
Sadly there are GOOFBALLS that listen to her . She could´nt even finish her term in office as
gov. . That in itself says a lot about her opinion . The republican party has made the U.S. a joke among other nations .

SP needs to go back and read the complete transcript of Hillary Clinton's testimony and what was stated after that remark. I think she was trying to say that people died, lets find out why! I will most certainly vote for her after educating myself on both party candidates and she appears to be the best choice.

I for one happen to love Sarah Palin. Every time she opens her mouth, it's just that much less that Progressives have to spend on campaigns.

All the hate directed toward Sarah tells me all is well in our country, thought the hate is misdirected. Wait til O'Care takes place, and your new doc shows up with a pacifier in his mouth, and puts the wrong end of the stethoscope on your chest. You just might consider voting for someone other than the leader of the party of sympathy and spending. My computer repairman just told me he has a good chance of being admitted to med school, and he speaks English on about a C minus level - he was an auto mechanic in Lagos.

I'd love for a reporter to pull out a world map in front of Sarah Palin and ask her to point out Libya on it. Dollars to donuts she wouldn't be able to do it – I doubt if she would even be looking at the right continent (remember, she thought Africa was a country).

I totally agree with Sarah Palin and further more I am sick to my stomach that the news media and the rest of all politicians have not made the point over and over that she has proven time and time again to be criminal, untrustworthy, dangerous, and overly costly to America, American lives AMERICAN morality and not a good example of American Ethics ( to put things politely )

Who cares what SP has to say? I am surprised that her comments about anything would make headlines.

Why would anyone want Sarah Palin's opinion anyway? She stepped down from being Governer in Alaska. Why does she still dabble in politics. Sarah go hunt a moose, or tangle with an aligator. Leave politics to HIllary Clinton. If Clinton runs for president in 2016, I will be voting for her. Repubs have too many Looney Tunes. Yuk!

How can anyone say that Sarah Palen's opinion means anything? This is the woman who ran as VP and said she had experience with foreign affairs because she could see Russia from her back door! Are you kidding. I hope she runs again and against Hillary. That will ensure a Democratic win.

Sarah is not an embarassment to Alaska. It would be an embarassment to Alaskans if she did not pick herself back up n roll het sleeves and become our Esther of Alaska. It should not be an embarassment, because thru her we learned our weakness n lack. When she decided to continue to represent ALASKA she stood with Godly virtue n Integrity, because of her love for Alaska, she will bring honor to Alaska. Without love there is no faith. Its time for woman to fast n pray for her success, n the best for her and watch the power of prayer, n we will come out from living beneath our means, chose to change your mind and get past what you see and see what God sees n her. Be blessed with understanding, knowledge, wisdom n insight as we lift her n her family before God n watch what God can do for you ladies n your life.
