Cruz says he'll talk until 'I am no longer able to stand'
Washington (CNN) - Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz took to the Senate floor on Tuesday afternoon for remarks on the shutdown debate that could potentially last through the night - a dramatic step in defense of his high profile, controversial plan to prevent any funding for Obamacare.
"I intend to speak until I am no longer able to stand," he said.

I don't make comments about them because they are insignificant. They mean nothing to me as their opinion is useless.
I'm tired of hearing how our country is so racist when it's not. I'm sick of hearing about some loudmouths who make stupid comments and then they are somehow representative of all conservatives. It's silly and it stifles debate. Sniffit will tell people to grow up while he uses name calling as a primary tactic. Calling people GOP/Teatrolls is sophmoric and only proves my point of his hypocrisy. You can't chastise someone for the tactics that you then employ and use on a daily basis.
I will say this: more people voted FOR Obama due to the color of his skin than people who voted AGAINST him due to the color of his skin. And PD Sniffit is absolutely representative of the latter half. It's painfully obvious. And for the record, while I don't defend, nor want to, the likes of Fair is Fair or Hector Slagg or Donna, they certainly have never once made any comment with regards to Obama's skin color. But Sniffit sure has. In fact, every day he does.

I don't know how old you are but if you have ever worked a day in your life and you live long enough to retire you will be getting your social security check every month, you might need, because social security is not enough food stamps to the tune of $4.50 a day and who can live on $17,000, if, a year. You might be lucky to have a roof over your head or you can move to warmer climates and live in a park. Cell phone? Who you gonna call,your teatards in congress? They could care less about you, where you live and whether you drop dead. As a matter of fact to them that is cheaper than having medical insurance and any drugs you might be taking could be morphine for your pain because you are sick and no hospital will take care of you so you sell your last can of cat food for some drugs.

And in the end, the ACA will still be law and it will still help thousands and thousands from both parties and as it becomes clearer that it is beneficial to everyone the word Obamacare will never be mentioned again by Fox or the GOP. That day is coming regardless, so let the games and grandstanding continue. After 2014 when the democrats are in control of the house and senate and presidency, for the next 10 years, the word GOP will vanish too!

I say adjourn the house until the democrats pass the bill that was sent to them. the house speaks for the people and the people do not want obamacare. i'd rather see a government that does not represent the will of the people shut down rather than allow it to continue to jam this bs down our throats. it is time that the people draw a red line and not back down.

Also, if the Right were real freethinkers, they would be atheists, and since many still have difficulty dealing with the Scientific Method and Evolution, I would say that your comments are of as much intellectual value as, say, just sayin or gunderson. Living in a bubble of race-driven thought is never pretty. As far as Ted Cruz is concerned, this is his Mr. Smith moment, but its the moneyed interests, the insurance companies and people like the Koch Brothers who would benefot from this. The people that want to keep you enlaved on the corporate plantation are the ones who are talking about freedom in one breath, and screwing you like they ahve for decades in the next breath. Well, I can't understand any of what Cruz is doing. Senate Republicans hate him for acting out of turn; House Republicans hate him for not being able to deliver on his promises. None of this bodes well for a Presidential bid. So what is he doing? Why? I think we're at that point in the movie where the protagonist is making a fool of himself at a large gathering and people start walking away in a state of embarrassment.

Cruz is right to stand up and say what a POS that the Obamacare legislation really is. Union members in the past have fought and sometimes died to get the benefits that they enjoy today but will not have tomorrow because of Obamacare. This bill needs to be stopped and re-written.

Obamacare is far from perfect – – but Cruz and the far right have so far demonstrated that they are more interested in destroying than in creating something better. Two thirds of personal US bankruptcies occur because a hard-working person gets sick and can't pay their medical bills.
