Republican divisions force delay in Boehner's debt strategy

Washington (CNN) - House Republican leaders were forced on Thursday to delay rolling out their bill to raise nation's debt limit, after conservatives complained the package failed to include deep enough budget cuts and significant changes to entitlement programs.

The setback comes as Speaker John Boehner prepares to wrestle with his conference over how to ultimately handle short term spending and the prospect of a government shutdown beginning on Tuesday, if Congress does not act to refill federal coffers.

Two words for TP/republicans in 2014: Government Shutdown.
Those are the only two words I'll remember when I go to the polls next year. If they cause this country to go back into a deep recession, expect the American people to show no mercy and to unleash their FULL wrath upon you. Only an ignorant, racist party would go to this extreme to make one person look bad. In the words of Boehner, "The American people" didn't vote for this and frankly, I think they've had enough.

Bohener et al wasted no time accusing President Obama of being a weak leader or as Gingrich put it "following from behind" as the President avoided a possible war. Yet Bohener and House leadership can't come up with a budget which is basically their only job.

In other words, they aren't screwing the poor and hard working middle class enough.

"I think we need to focus on the CR first. I think it's important that we complete that before we move onto the debt ceiling," Minnesota Republican Michele Bachmann said outside the House floor.

When is she going to go away ?

Well if there's one thing we can rely on conservatives for – it's to complain, complain, complain and complain. No solutions offered, just complaints.
