Reid: Senate will reject House bill

Washington (CNN) - As expected, the Senate will reject the latest version of the House bill that would fund the government but would delay Obamacare by one year.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's spokesman issued a statement Sunday, saying the Senate will send a clean bill–one without the anti-Obamacare provisions–back to the House on Monday, just hours before the government nears a midnight deadline to avert a shutdown.

Read the full statement:

"Knowing full well that the Senate would reject their empty political stunts, House Republicans voted to increase the deficit, deny women coverage for critical preventative services like contraception, and deny affordable health care to millions of Americans," Adam Jentleson said. "Tomorrow, the Senate will do exactly what we said we would do and reject these measures. At that point, Republicans will be faced with the same choice they have always faced: put the Senate's clean funding bill on the floor and let it pass with bipartisan votes, or force a Republican government shutdown."

Why aren't Reid and Pelosi and Obama under Obamacare if they love it so much? They are hypocrites and liers – that's why. They want their entitlement agenda to run our lives. They are also narcissistic and abuse the privileged positions they're in. Disgraceful. The democrats will pay for this in the next elections – they have truly overstepped their bounds and have exposed their lies and corruption for all to see.

The tea party Taliban is ruining our country. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Eric Cantor and others need to be voted out of office. The people will remember.

What is a "clean bill" anyways? Does it assure the Affordable HealthCare Act will not raise taxes? NO. Does it assure the Affordable HealthCare Act will not raise current health care premiums for millions of blue collar workers 48%? NO. Does it assure the Affordable HealthCare Act will not cut the hours worked by the American labor force? NO. Does it assure the Affordable HealthCare Act will not cause companies from "streamlining" or cut job from their prospective labor forces? NO. Does it assure the promoters of the Affordable HealthCare Act have worked out all the subsidies for the poor to afford it? NO. Americans that are poor, that do not have health coverage, want coverage. And Americans are tired of being lied to, and are tired of being screwed and massaged out of their income.

Of course they will reject it! It's amazing that 1 relatively small faction of radical, extremist T-partiers is allowed to do this to the government & the nation! Why don't the sane folks of the Real GOP cut these crazies loose, instead of letting them infiltrate, ride on their coat tails & destroy the party from within!? Or are there no sane repubs left? I know people who can't wait to finally be able to get health insurance, but now they may not even get their paltry SS checks! These are people who have worked hard all their lives, way past retirement & because of age/illness can't anymore! This is beyond irresponsibility on the part of congress! It truly borders on treason! There will be payback at the voting booths next year!!

What a disgusting show the Democrats and the President are putting on. Delay or Defund the inept ObamaCare law. It is wrong for America on many fronts. We can not afford it and we do not want it. The President needs to negotiate with congress before he negotiates with Iran. Saying he will not negotiate with the representatives of the people is rejecting the voices of a large part of his constituency, Time for Obama to become a leader and not just a orator.

Most politicians don't understand the new healthcare bill and most of them haven't even read it , yet voted for it.
The big question is who and how is one going to pay for it and quite frankly I don't think anybody knows.
Come next election give these non productive politicians the boot and get fresh minds in there , elect Public Servants that work for the country and it's people and not just follow party lines , the left and the right , as one is as bad as the other. This Presidency has not only divided but also weakened the country.

Now let me see all this thinking makes my head hurt!? if harry reid had called the Senate in on Sunday guess what cruz et all would either have done a false filibuster or tried to force a cloture vote. dear Old harry saw 'em coming and will be able Monday to get cloture easy and bt 10 or 15 minutes into the session get a majority vote to take the 44th attempt to defund Obama care
Repeating the same nonsense over and over again is on of the first signs of serious mental illness.

Don't you just love the way OUR "elected misfits" look out for US? And WE, the people, just "go with the flow" of their antics and re elect them? Isn't is way past time for WE, the people, to take back control of OUR government?

    Indeed he should reject it.
These so-called Tea-infested Republican "Patriots" hate THIS President more than they love their country.
Reject it Reid and let the chips fall where they may.
May God help our country in the face of such hatred.
