Boehner learned hard lesson in failed House coup

Washington (CNN) - Two things motivate House Speaker John Boehner in his showdown with Democrats and President Barack Obama, sources close to him say - one personal, one philosophical.

The personal one is evident through how he deals with his caucus of 232 Republicans, especially the unruly tea party group.

The "unruly tea party group"??? Unruly because they don't want debt greater than the past 200 years combined??? Holy crap, try going into a bank and getting a loan with debt like that. I thought reducing debt was responsible and sensible characteristic. I wonder if the dollar shrinks several trillion times like the mark did in post WW1 Germany, who will be considered to be unruly then.

President Obama learned his lesson in negotiating with the GOP when they implemented the sequestration cuts. He should not negotiate over CR or the debt limit. They are what they are – the GOP should send a clean CR as was given to President Reagan 18 times instead of playing the childish games that hurt millions of Americans and the overall country as well. John Boehner is the most incompetent speaker ever.

  9. What's in that tea anyway?

Since when does this country listen to an "unruly few"? We are all allowed our opinions but we can't demand any other American that has followed the process, suffered 3 years of criticisms from name calling, to questioning their motives; have to drop all our work and do what these "unruly few" say to do? Since when? If I'm Pres. Obama, I'd tell every one of these minions of the devil to kiss the tush...not on the left, not on the right...but right down the middle.

He is not a leader , never was . He's more like a fall guy who was told what to do , how to act , and what to say .

Boehner should have given the teapublicans their walking papers because they aren't helping the party or the country. If they don't like the law, then work to repeal it but not in the CR.

Boehner is spineless as he fears the tea party for allowing to shutdown the government. They fear that Obamacare will be so successful that they want to knock it down before its inception!!

The man is a hostage in his own party. He's being brought to his knees by the likes of tea party members, and wannabe camera hogs that love to stir up the masses, then set back and pretend they had little or nothing to do with the problems caused. They need to be replaced, and soon.

Really he did? And the personal is how he deals with the Tea Party?? Flat out lies as usual Fox-lite. Boehner is deeply afraid of them and joins right into their personal hate of our duly elected POTUS.

The kid gloves you use when talking about these traitors is maddening. Either you agree with them or you're nothing but cowards just like Boehner.
