Government shutdown 'extremely damaging' to U.S. intelligence operations
(CNN) - The government shutdown is "extremely damaging" to U.S. intelligence operations, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said Wednesday.
Clapper noted that he has worked in the intelligence field for 50 years, and "never seen anything like this."

It's costing us $300 million a day, $1.6 billion per week. You'd think the national security slash budget experts could figure it out. Actually, they have. They figure that they can blame everything on Pres. Obama, which their base will simply eat up.

What's the matter? The facts are not falling your way? The Senate voted on the House bills, but the House has yet to vote on any of the Senate bills. Those are the facts. All the noise you're making is meaningless. America has learned to "trust but verify" what the right wing says....and we have George W. Bush to thank for that.

Fool- I think if you peer out of your kangaroo pocket, you'll note it was the idiots in the GOP that decided to link the ACA to the national budget process- you reap what you sow.

Maybe if George W. hadn't simply leafed through the PDR at The Ranch in Crawford in Aug. 2001, we wouldn't have had to spend the TRILLION $$ that the REAL 9-11 has cost us.

What a load of horse crap. Jammed down out throats? Thr President was elected and reelected based on his stance on health care. The law was passed by both houses. The law was upheld by the Supreme Court. There are only two things you need to know regarding this shutdown. 1) If Boehner would put a clean CR in front of the house to vote on, it would pass with bipartisan support 2) Boehner will not allow the house to vote on a clean CR.
He owns it.
Any politician who's contributors profit financially do to the government shutdown should be charged with insider trading and conspiracy to commit fraud .

There were countless lies told about "Obamacare" by the right wing. Democrats and the administration had traditionally referred to the law as the "Affordable Care Act". They've always referred to it that way until late last year during a presidential debate with Mitt Romney, when Pres. Obama embraced the term

Both parties just might see this as a zero sum game, but it is the only the Tea Party who is playing all or nothing. Democrats have not brought a laundry list of demands to the table, but the Tea Party has. Democrats could be demanding anything from a jobs bill, to background checks, to the DREAM Act, but they're not.
Democrats have tried to sit down and have this discussion since the Senate passed a budget in late May. But, Sen. Cruz, the architect of this shutdown, blocked the budget conference between the Senate and the House. Republicans have declined to discuss anything. Republicans have been busy bragging to their constituents, "No Compromise." The Tea Party members have been promising to shut down the government since they campaigned on it in 2010.
Your words may sound nuetral to you, but they are obviously misleading and deceptive to people who know the facts, the voters.
